Hermann's Guest House

It all started very good when the owner came at the bus stand to fetch us but it quickly went down . Not much effort in the rooms and sharing washrooms cleaningness and appearance despite the guest house being almost empty . We actually had to change room once in 3 nights because of defected fan , the sharing toilets are always dirty and at some point there was a poo in the shower... our second room had something splashed and dryed over the wall . Every morning we woke up hearing the new comers complaining and then going somewhere else . The cherry on the top of the cake was when we asked at what time was the check out ( of this empty hotel ) and we got told right now or you can pay more ...A bit rude after being probably their best costumers during this week since we stayed 3 nights in a row ! We saw the owner as we were packing which told us it was fine to stay but I didn't want to spend more time there .

They had the chicken dinner and we were looted... The cost of a single boiled egg is 90/- only with that we didn't had a chance to think about its mother. Single omelet is 130/- so better if you have dinner outside this place....

Herman's is very central to all temples, restaurants, and modes of transport. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms themselves however are a bit grubby- if you're looking for luxury this isnt the place for you, but if you're a backpacker on a budget then it'll suit you just fine.

Bad experience. They charge us 2000 rs but basic services was not available like as : hot water not available/ available but you need to carry you bucket and walk around the road, drinking water not provided, bedshits was not cleaned, bed was not proper bed ..... horrible experience against 2000 per day room:

The Hermnan guest house is a nice place to stay if you dont have enough money or if you want to save money. the owner is really kind, and the food at german bakery is amazing.||||The bathroom is an Indian Style. and they have shower !!! the bed is double one.

Unfortunately, google does not allow negative rating. So, I booked this place through an online platform. I just booked this place and left my office to head home. I immediately got 3-4 calls from the property and since I was driving, I could not pick up the calls. Later when I reached homeh and checked my mail, I had an email stating that the property wants to cancel my booking because I didn't pay the amount for the advance booking. When I checked the online portal, there were no details for the payment. Really?? Guys, do you ecexpect us to pay the advance amount without mentioning the details?

pros:||- the rooms are cheep||- very helpful hotel owner||- restaurant is really good!!!||||cons:||- only one window with no mosquito net, so the air is getting bad||- could be cleaner => not much effort is put in the rooms||- round mosquito net, i hate it (i like rectangular nets), but they say customer with that||- painting is old, every ting looks a bit run down. eg fan makes noise while running...||||||==> hampi is a relaxing place, you should stay in a other place, appropriate to the spirit of hampi.

The owner was very unprofessional. Demanded us for money even when we did not check in just saw the room. The rooms were average. You can easily find cheaper rooms on the other side of the river.
