R K BEACH COTTAGE

Rooms are shabby for a family, water for bath is salty. but room is very close to beach.so its easy to manage beach dips. and the stretch do have some cafes which look decent to sit and enjoy some food. luckily AC was in good condition, bathroom was clean though room was small. Only pro is closest proximity to beach.

Average considering the rooms and beds The most important thing is it's in front of the beach. It was an awesome experience, food needed improvement in taste and the bathroom wasn't clean and there was an electricity issue and lights were not working properly.

The location at which the cottage is situated is worth the price , they also provided us dormitories for stay when we reached early before the check in time .

Great place on the beach bed with stay and restaurant with alcohol. The food is good, rooms are clean, prices are affordable if you visit off season. During peak season the prices are little high but worth it considering the serene view of the beach and sunrise sunset you get during the entire stay here. Good place to try out if you are in Gokarna anytime. Cheers

Do not book the hotel without stiduing this review. It's a totally a devastated experience we had last weekend with the RK cottage. We have booked for one night and it was monsoon. We were couples travelling for my wife's bday trip. We are expecting to enjoy our moments with RK beach cottage but ended up totally frustrated and disappointed experience to the core. Immediately after reaching the cottage we came to know thats no where close to the pictures we saw on MAKEMYTRIP website for this hotel. We we're accompanyed to our room. We came to know that it's totally in a devastated condition. The AC wasn't working. The smell inside the room would make anyone sick and nauseating within seconds. Then about the alternative room that was provided for us. in which even the beds were wet and it had that smell as the earlier room but was little better for a short time till the room fresher they sprayed was working fine. There is no restaurant function within their cottage which was also told that it is available with bar facility. All I could see in that restaurant area was dumped garbages and tyres painted and left alone for months. After experience such a traumatic experience we decided to leave the stay within 5hours of check in and book the last bus to our destination to leave from Gokarna. When I asked for why do you keep it open in MMT to the guy who's hosting us he told people still like to come that. I wonder what kind of people are they to visit such a places paying.
