Hotel Gokarna International

Stayed in a 3-bedded AC room here with family. The room and the bathroom was amply neatly maintained. AC was working well, beds were decent. No quams about the room at all. Overall the property is an ok one, an old property wanting with regards to attention. Lift was working. Everything is okay with the place, but nothing is very good or very bad, overall a very acceptable place to stay. The so-called in-house restaurant served decent meals in the afternoon, but was shocked to find the same items being served in the night as well. Food served in the afternoon was decent and very acceptable. The breakfast which was complimentary was not so great, can give it a miss and ask for a discount on the room instead. I would perhaps stay here again but would surely avoid eating there for morning breakfast and dinner.

Stayed here in a Non AC room for 5 days 4 Nights. The location of the hotel is good. Connectivity from the bus stand and market is nice. But the service is not good. Because, - No cleaning - Bad room service - Dirty bedsheets and fungal pillows - Dirty blankets - Dirty balcony Despite asking for 2-3 days, they just changed pillow covers on last day. The beds and pillows are extremely dirty. And there are so many mosquitoes. Even though this place is in budget, a basic hygiene is a major factor in hospitality business. I would not recommend this place because you'll get homestays with less facilities and more cleaner than this.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The manager was incredibly rude and arrogant. We had booked non-AC rooms, assuming the weather would be cold, but when we requested to turn on the AC and offered to pay any additional charges, he demanded 1200 per day. The rooms were in terrible condition--dirty bedsheets and a complete lack of hygiene. To make matters worse, there was a huge beehive clearly visible on the third floor from the road, and bees kept flying into our room. Adding to the misery, the hotel's lift was out of service. An absolutely awful and disappointing stay. Never recommending this hotel to anyone

We were incredibly excited for our long awaited Gokarna trip but it was all in waste because of the stay here at Hotel Gokarna International. - The staff was confused at the start about our bookings which we had made in full payment. But luckily we got the room as we checked in. - As soon as we entered the room we saw bulb holders all around the room and the bathroom which were not in use and looked like cameras. Which looked suspicious but there was an electrical current in it. - Our room on the 3rd floor was specious with 2 balconies but the joy was just for a moment till we saw a big beehive next to our balcony. So we could use the balcony for 3 days. - Windows all around the room and the bathroom had cracks. So every evening when we came back there were bees in our room and the bathroom. - There was an unpleasant smell all around the 3rd floor and upon insisting several times, the support staff sprayed some room freshener. - We had to request 3 times for a dustbin in the room. - Mattresses and pillow covers were dirty and we had to ask to change it 5 times and still did not receive the clean bedsheet. - No hot water and no water in tap for shower. - No room service what so ever. - We had booked non AC room as there were no rooms left. But when we enquired about AC charges one of the manager quoted Rs. 800/day and another quoted Rs. 1200/day. - Managers and the support staff was negligent, arrogant and rude. - Lift did not work the entire stay and we had to use stairs every time till the 3rd floor and the hotel management was very reluctant to look at the issue and just gave random answers when enquired. - Very frustrating and blood boiling experience. Please don't book a room in this hotel even if it is the last hotel on the Earth!!!

To be honest, the hotel doesn't even deserve a review because there's nothing to review in the first place. Either hotel is under construction or it's being demolished slowly and gradually. The lift is in shambolic condition therefore at any point in time can attract any happening. The AC was spitting ice for some reason (not exaggerating). The top floor has a huge beehive which can be spotted right from road itself. There's a continuous pungent smell in the lobby. The bedsheet were dirty and only got changed when pointed out. Still they were no good. The reason we stayed there because it ws late in the night and gokarna being a tourist spot most of the hotels were booked for tat day. Somehow we managed to spend the night there.

The rooms are decent, there are places in Gokarna you'll get in the same price range with better services. If you have no options left to stay, you can choose this.

Its a local hotel where you can get decent rooms for cheap price. But the room service is not that good

No electricity, lots of mosquitos and cockroaches. Bathrooms are very unhygienic...
