Kind of extremely poor and delayed service in the restaurant when we visited on the 9th April. Food is average but even when there was no huge rush a simple dish of naan and 2 subji took over 45 mins. It was incredibly slow. The staff gave a free desert but that didn't cover their inadequacy. Not a pleasant experience at Tamarind

This is a hotel within walking distance of Bangalore airport. Avantika greeted us and gave a gracious welcome. Rooms are clean spacious and modern. We had dinner at tamarind restaurant. Food was excellent. We were served by Bishu and Abhijeet who provided lovely service with a smile. Would recommend stay and eating at this restaurant.

Enjoyed the meal @tamarind. It's been very long time to be here. Had a great time & recalled the memories @Taj Bangalore. The service from Iku, Anchal & Sheshi was excellent..

Our three course set meal at Tamarind at Taj Bengaluru Airport was much more than what it promised to be and my pick was vegetarian. Kickstarting with the first course of appetizer platter, as we each received a portion of vegetarian seekh kebab, paneer tikka, malai broccoli, and a dahi ke kebab. The malai broccoli was a delicious perfection, while the dahi ke kebab was super soft and wonderfully spiced. I particularly loved the seekh too, while the paneer tikka was a decent version. The main course platter was a mix of two different types of rotis, a tandoori roti and a naan, with an Indian salad, served with a creamy paneer gravy, a smoky dal makhani, a stir fried greens and a pot of biryani with a mildly spicy raita, probably burrani. Everything was made to perfection and was deliciously enjoyable, especially the biryani and the dal makhani. Moving on to the dessert course, there was a moong dal halwa and a creamy delicious kulfi, a perfect end to an overloaded meal that was rich and represented beautiful India flavours, highly recommended. What I did not like was that the same day and the previous day, we had got lunch boxes from Taj to be delivered for our lunch meetings, and we almost 90% had the same menu that was offered in the set meal. From that perspective it was repetitive for us and I personally did not enjoy this repetition, but nevertheless it is a great experience of a celebration of Indian food, do try and share your experience.

Our recent experience at Tamarind, the in-house restaurant at Taj Bangalore, was, unfortunately, a far cry from the excellence we had expected. My wife and I were looking forward to a relaxing evening with good food before catching an early morning flight the next day. We checked in around 8 PM, eager for a peaceful dinner, especially since the restaurant was pretty empty with lots of vacant tables. We found a comfortable four-seater and were initially welcomed by a kind staff member who assured us it was no problem to sit there. However, our experience quickly took a turn for the worse when another staff member, who seemed to be in charge, approached us. Without even looking at us, he rudely instructed us to move to a cramped two-seater. It was a bit jarring, but not wanting to cause a fuss, we complied. As someone with an allergy to green chilies, I approached the same staff member to inquire about dishes that would be safe for me to eat. His response was surprisingly dismissive, telling me that there were no options without green chilies. This struck me as odd, considering that many dishes can be prepared with red chilies instead. Nevertheless, I trusted his expertise and ordered a regular tikka, hoping it would be a safe bet. What I received, however, was a bland, mint-and-coriander-soaked tikka that was unlike anything I've ever had before--in the worst way possible. It was flavorless, and frankly, inedible. I was left disappointed and regretting my decision to eat there, but I decided not to escalate the issue further. The night continued to go downhill when we were ready to leave. The staff had already taken our names and room number upon our arrival, so we assumed settling the bill would be quick. Instead, we were kept waiting for 20-30 minutes, despite the restaurant being almost empty. When I asked if we could sign the bill and leave, the same staff member who had been rude earlier insisted we wait. After what felt like an eternity, he finally checked with another staff member and told us we could go, without any apology or explanation for the delay. This experience was incredibly disappointing, especially given the high standards I associate with the Taj brand. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and dismissive attitude of this particular staff member left a sour taste in our mouths--literally and figuratively. Tamarind at Taj Bangalore is a restaurant that could benefit from revisiting its customer service approach. The experience was, unfortunately, one of the worst I've had at a restaurant, and I hope the management takes steps to ensure that future guests are treated with the respect and care they deserve.

Very nice indian restaurant with a good variety of dishes! The service from Bishu & Abhijeet was excellent, they were both very courteous and helped with some good recommendations on what to eat from the various menu options. The ambience is very warm and cosy. Desserts are lovely! Overall a good place for a nice indian meal!

Absolutely delighted with my dining experience at the Indian restaurant in this exquisite Tamarind restaurant at Taj Bangalore airport. special thanks to chef Aravind for making Dum aloo biryani, Gajar halwa and dhal khichadi this an unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was impeccable. The menu offered a tantalizing array of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The presentation was as stunning as the taste, and every dish exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a taste of India's finest cuisine in a luxurious setting.

The restaurant has great ambiance and service. The food is prepared using finest ingredients and is served on good quality cutlery. The only thing I felt was short of expectations is small portion.
