Our stay at Gabadi River Edge Homestay on New Year's Eve was truly unforgettable. The host family's warmth and hospitality stood out as they welcomed us with smiles that made us feel instantly at home. The property, with its serene surroundings and rich history, provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing celebration. They went above and beyond to make the evening special, organizing a cozy bonfire and preparing a delightful authentic-style dinner with great care. Their thoughtful gesture of arranging an early breakfast for us, knowing we had an early departure, was a testament to their exceptional hospitality. It was a beautiful blend of comfort, care, and charm--highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique and heartfelt experience!

Stayed here about a year ago...had booked 2 rooms...the home stay is based on old Malnad architecture and the rooms and the property as a whole carry a great aesthetic sense. Property is maintained clean and provides a great ambience as you get to enjoy the river flowing besides the property. You get to taste authentic Malnad food as well. Good option to consider if you want total peace and quietness.

The property is just next to the highway and overlooks the Thungabhadra river. Absolutely serene and peaceful. The place is a very well-maintained traditional house with the owners staying in one wing. Despite that, we had enough privacy and space for the kids to run around and play. The rooms were neat and clean. One room was spacious and the other two we occupied were adequate for couples.The decor in the common area was quite nice with antique furniture displayed tastefully. Auntie and Uncle gave us enough space and were very patient with our queries and left us to our devices for the most part. They connected us with a driver who took us around for sightseeing. The food was absolutely amazing. They include breakfast and dinner along with the per day charges and you wouldn't get better food. A very quaint and peaceful stay if you wish to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Will visit again!

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay here it is "The Gabadi river edge home stay" As the name says it is located beside the Tunga river where you can witness the beautiful sunrise. The home stay is authentic, clean and well maintained. The hosting is excellent with tasty yummy homely food. The place is safe for kids and is pet friendly. A great place for relaxation and fun with family and friends.

We were a family of 9 ,we visited this place during Christmas. The hospitality of the hosts was excellent. The homestay is very open and spacious and serves as a great retreat from city life. One of the best things about the homestay was the food ,it had that home cooked taste to it and was not overly flavoured. The quality of rooms was decent but I feel it could be improved. Overall me and my family had a pleasent stay at gabadi river edge.

We were a family of 14, including two three year olds.We stayed at Gabadi River Edge on a Saturday night. We drove from Udupi, and it took just about two hours to get there. The location is pretty easy to get to. The property is green and beautiful, situated parallel to the Tunga river. The home itself is peaceful and well decorated/maintained. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. The highlight, as already mentioned in many of the reviews was the delicious food! We loved every bit of it, and the warm hospitality that came with it. There was an elaborate spread at every meal and everyone including the kids were well taken care of. Everything was home cooked, freshly made and served hot. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and highly responsive.They suggested a nearby river bed spot for us to visit and that was a lovely sunset visit, just 6 kms away from the place. Our entire group was very happy with the stay. Many of us will definitely bring more friends along in future.

We stayed at gabadi on the way to Goa and this was one of our best trip decisions! The place is a slice of heaven , just parked on the beautiful river. It is a hundred year old heritage home where you will feel like you are transported to another time. An open courtyard with stone pillars for areca nut drying, a huge garden full of greenery, cute little doggies running around and lip smacking malanadi food ..is what you can expect. We went with our 11 month old and the host was very kind to let us prepare baby food for my infant. Despite being on the main road ..you only hear the sounds of birds and nature.
