Aura by the Sea - A unit of Vivasa Leisure

We initially ended up at a beach shack that was extremely suffocating and not what we expected. Luckily, we found Aura by the Sea, and it completely turned our trip around. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. The service was top-notch -- warm, attentive, and professional. Truly a gem by the beach!

Nice place for stay. Clean and hygienic. There is space for car parking. There is also a cafe nearby operated by the same owner. Try food, it's delicious. Care taker is also very cooperative

It's a very good place to stay if you are backpackers and love cozy vibe. But if you are coming with family with too much luggage then you will have to adjust a bit otherwise they maintain property very well. We went with kids and they even helped us to cook food. The one who looks after the property are very friendly. I would really recommend this place. Yes, Gokarna's main beach is walkable from here.

AURA BY THE SEA a villa was a pleasant stay for us at Gokarna. It is situated within a km from main beach. The stay was enjoyable. The villa is surrounded by greenery plants making our stay appeared to be in village. Further, the courtesy rendered by the owner Mr Vicky was unimaginable when he delivered medicines purchased from nearby shop for my wife when she was sick. In addition the person who is maintaining the place, Ashok, helped a lot. Cab is a must to navigate through the streets to reach this place from main town and for food as well. I strongly recommend this place for a comfortable stay for couple of days with village atmosphere.

Great place to stay with family. The place is right next to the beach and was very well managed. Vicky was a great host and manager on site was always there to help us with anything. It was a great stay.

The host, Vicky was incredibly helpful, understanding and went out of his way to accommodate our last minute birthday celebration plans. The place is clean, well-maintained and very close to the beach. They even pre-cooled the rooms before our arrival, ensuring a comfortable welcome. A special mention to Ashok, the caretaker, who was always just a call away ready to assist with any queries or issues. Overall, it was a relaxing, worry-free stay in Gokarna at a reasonable price. Outstanding service and great location. Highly recommended!

In the small fishing village of Dubbansasi, Gokarna I chose to stay at "Aura by The Sea". 4 basic no nonsense cottages with beautifully crafted verandahs. The cottages are all aligned beside each other which is great for a large group of friends or family. However there's utmost privacy as well. There's a lovely garden outside which is lovingly taken care of and cleaned by Ashok Ji, landowner and in house manager of the property. So you have a fishing village, a local temple, a beautiful cozy cottage with an attached verandah, a beautiful garden, numerous coconut trees swaying in sunshine and a gate leading you to the Dubbansasi beach. You can't see the beach from your room but it's so near, you can smell and feel it and possibly hear the sound of the waves late night when the village goes to sleep. Aura has 4 laterite cottages (reminiscent of the konkani villas in this part of India) equipped with 2 or 1 double bed with beautifully crafted linen, 24 7 power backup, Air conditioning, a tea coffee setup, 24*7 hot water, a TV (but there's a lot more to see outside), glass water bottles, attached smart and sleek washrooms and a small table chair setup in each verandah to enjoy your morning tea amidst serenity. There are huge glass windows on one side of the room and a small skylight on the other side which allows lots of natural light inside the room. The property is spotlessly clean in all respects. Being a small bed and breakfast property they are yet to come up with a full fledged kitchen and restaurant for other meals. However be prepared for some delicious breakfast prepared by the man of the house Ashok ji and his wife (sometimes even helped by their son). Neer Dosa, Puri, Idly with utterly delicious chutneys, curries and kurumas will prepare you well for a long day of beach hopping or temple visits. For the more adventurous souls, Yana Caves and scuba diving at Netrani Island, Murdeshwar are nearby options. Ashok Ji and his family lives in the property itself. They have a lovely house along the garden which is separated by a fence. However feel free to interact with his family and visit their house. No one shows you a place like the locals do. For your other and more complicated needs there's Vicky, the ever helping manager of the property. He comes everyday and is just a call away during the wee hours. Peaceful, exciting, relaxing, positive, cozy, warm, friendly and different. These are some of the adjectives which came to my mind after I checked out of Aura. Room is quiet smaller than shown in the photo. Washroom is clean and very well maintained Great hospitality. Just 2 min walk from the main beach.
