Cloud Alley Homestay - Amba Bhavani Estate

This is my go to place whenever I go to Sakhleshpur. The place is peaceful, good enough for a small 6 member family or a group of friends. The estate is huge and you can go for trekking inside the estate itself. You cannot cook here, other than tea or heating the food. There are swiggy and zomato deliveries available and can easily get food till here. Great place to be with friends or family, they have multiple games on the attic above. Nights are chilly and all you can hear is the sound of nature the whole day.

I am someone who likes to stay close to nature and this place is as close as it gets. If you like trees this place is a gold mine for you with variety of flora. The day tour of the place is sufficient to give you enough oxygen to overcome week load of monoxides. The night is filled with sounds of nature. One scope of improvement I suggest is to add a cooking facility so that, people wont have to travel 5-8 kms for food or order food that charges 200-300 rupees extra to deliver.

The place is easy to locate a little far away from the Sakleshpur fort. It is a 30 acre coffee estate and the best place to stay if you are looking for some peace. The bungalow is neat and clean with a lot of privacy. It is perfect for four people but there are arrangements for some more people as well. The caretaker Mr. Vijayan will go out of his way to make sure that you have a comfortable stay and he will be always ready to take you on a trek through the beautiful property. Getting food is a bit of a problem. Else everything is amazing.

We had been to Sakleshpur during Sep 2017 and the experience at the place was fantastic. The place is located amidst ~30 acres of coffee plantations and is great was a relaxing weekend. The property can accommodate 6 people, however, it is ideal for 4 members. Mr.Vijayan, the caretaker, was very cordial during the entire duration of the stay. He took us on a hike into the estate, and introduced us to interesting plants. He also went out of the way to make sure that we had memories to cherish.||||+ Great host||+ Great/unlimited breakfast||+ Has sports equipments for recreational activities||+ Villa is very spacious and beautiful||||- This would amount to scraping the surface, however, dinner is not available at the property and we need to drive around 3-5 kilometres to get to the restaurants.

We stayed long time back and had horrible experience with food and after lots of arguments we could get basic dal rice which were not tasty. The answer from the owner was to go and find nearby restaurants. owner think I will disclose real name so that I can put my life in danger. that time meals and cook were promised to us which the owner is cleverly denying. be careful to ask all the questions and charges as the owner doesn't entertain legit refund or issues later.

Cloud alley is a perfect home stay located in the outskirts of the town. Getting there is in itself quite the experience as the drive is scenic and on well maintain roads. We got there post lunch and had a relaxing day strolling around on the estate. The rooms are well maintained and the bathrooms are immaculate with all amenities readily available. The wide balcony affords extraordinary views of the surrounding hills, and the plantations that carpet them. Getting food on the premises is a bit of a problem, you need to order in from restaurants located in the main town. The stillness and peace you perceive in this place is well worth everything else. Mr. Vijayan, the estate manager is a generous and courteous host. We appreciate his constant enthusiasm in showing us around the property. We also fortunate to have met the owners Rajesh and Pratibha, and had a wonderful time chatting with them. Overall I would highly recommend visiting Cloud Alley and find yourself discovering solace within yourself while you are there...

Really good place to hangout with family. 25 acre of land full of lush green forest, I even saw a peacock there. It has a lot of chicko plant, pineapple plant, anjir tree inside the campus. A bird will come to knock on the window. This place is full or nature gifts. There is only one cottage inside which we had for ourselves, it is quite a spacious cottage. Only problem is food. You need to go out 3-4km for food. They provide only breakfast which is minimal but full of love and care.

Estate manager is very friendly that makes the stay here awesome. Property is quite vast and you can trek inside it for 2-3 hours. He was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay and ensured we had all the amenities and service. Restaurants options are limited to order but they will deliver swiftly and their food is also enjoyable.
