Southern Star Davanagere

Courteous and very helpful staff, Praveen helped us to run for all the chores we mentioned, at hours he went out and bought baby formula for my kid from outside pharmacy...very kind gesture. Its a vast property amidst the town. Toiletries they provided on demand. Breakfast was relishing though items were limited. Overall it was a relaxed layover for us in our long ang tiring journey.

I am regular guest of this hotel. ,well|Maintained rooms , bed linen very clean and choices of pillows . Food is really good . |Breakfast needs a little more improvement in terms of quality and spread. |Good car parking space available . |Overall my stay is always been a good experience. |Front desk and especially Mr Imran Khan is very courteous. |Keep it up !

The team goes above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable and valued which goes long way in recommending this place to anyone. Food is good as well and room service is commendable including the complimentary breakfast. Staff are excellent

Nice hotel and spacious, clean room. The restaurant was decently priced and food was good. The staff at reception and the restaurant were courteous and all tried hard to make our 1-night stay pleasant. However, 1 star taken off because there were so many mosquitoes not only in the restaurant at dinner time, but especially in our room! We caught and killed at least 7 but they kept coming from somewhere even though our doors were closed. Please try to keep up with spraying or mosquito traps. If it was like this in Feb. I can't imagine during the rainy season.

Hospitality is Execellent I am regular guest. Always i used to stay at Southern star Davangere. Ambience is very good.All staff are courteous and provide excellent hospitality to guest. Room are spacious neat and clean , Imran Mgr provides excellent service

Let me first say what we liked about hotel. The room and bed were comfortable. The two baths were convenient (we booked a suite). The bellhop who brought our luggage and brought us to and from the room was very efficient and courteous. The shower was good. To the great inconvenience of my 86-year old mother, one of the bathroom taps didn't work which we fortunately noticed as soon as we arrived. The maintenance staff came in and fixed it. But they left without telling us that they had fixed it and they also left the bathroom a wet mess. We again had to request housekeeping to come in and mop up. If you stay here, get used to calling and requesting every little thing. For the 3 days we stayed, we constantly had to ask for and get things. We were 3 of us in the suite - but got only one coffee cup. We had to ask and get 2 more. We got only 2 towels. We had to ask and get one more. The drinking water in the room wouldn't be refilled by housekeeping - we had to ask and get the water refilled. There was fruit in the room, but only a blunt butter knife to cut anything with. We had to ask for a knife from the kitchen. Apart from the bath towels, there were no other towels of any kind provided - not even a mat to dry your feet as you stepped out of the shower. But of all things, the restaurant was possibly the biggest disappointment. The food was good. But the service staff were clueless about hospitality. Indifference is describing it mildly. They performed their jobs robotically and were of zero help with the menu. Except for zealously pointing out what would be 'chargeable', they made no effort to help guests. And no apologies when they err. This inefficiency was glaring when we ordered room service for coffee and snacks. Something or the other was always forgotten (extra decoction, or napkins, or something else) causing us to call and ask room service again. Overall, no concern for guests nor any cheer or warmth in service. Every meal we had at the restaurant ( Zest) felt painful and unpleasant. Considering the experience we had, I don't feel I'd be comfortable recommending the hotel to anyone I know.

I recently stayed at the hotel and it was superb experience. Rooms are fully furnished and neet clean and comfortable.the staff were friendly and helpful.the location was also convinient with many local attractions within walkable distance.the food in the resturant was so delicious
