Hornbill River Resort

We had been to dandeli for two nights and stayed at Hornbill Resort. The owner Mr. Benny was very welcoming and cordial. Also Mr. Pawan always ensured that we are comfortable and enjoying all the activities. He was very friendly and patient as well. We enjoyed the night a d morning trek guided by Pawan. And also enjoyed all the water actvities especially the rafting. The Resort also has kept lot of play around for children like badminton, cycling etc. Food was also good. Overall the stay was pleasant and fun. Would definitely recommend this place and the resort

The Hornbill Riverview Resort is beautifully situated close to Supa Dam, deep within the forest and right on the banks of the Kali River. The property is slightly off the main road, surrounded by dense forest, giving it a truly wild and untouched feel. They've made an impressive effort to make the resort accessible without disturbing the natural surroundings, which I really appreciated. Coming to the rooms, there are three types, ranging from basic to premium options. The basic rooms include the regular and "delux" rooms, which are super spacious and cover all essentials for a comfortable stay. The premium rooms include the Rock House, River View Cottage, and the Tree House. The Tree House is medium-sized but well-equipped with all necessities, and the view of the river from its balcony is absolutely stunning. However, my personal favorite was the River View Cottage where I spent two peaceful days. The cottage is ultra-spacious, with a large sit-out balcony right by the riverside. I have no words to explain how amazing the experience was -- you truly have to be there to feel it. Believe me, staying here is absolutely worth it. Didn't get a chance to view the Rock house so no comments on same. The package comes with all-inclusive meals, which is important because there aren't any restaurants nearby. I was recommended this place by a friend, mainly for the food quality -- and it lived up to the hype! Although I didn't get a chance to compare it with other resorts in the area, the meals were thoroughly enjoyable. The package includes: Breakfast Lunch Evening tea with snacks Dinner Additionally, the resort offers adventure activities like boating, kayaking, zorbing, cycling, morning nature walks (with bird watching), and night jungle walks. All these activities are included, making the pricing very reasonable. If you're looking to keep the trip budget-friendly, you can opt for the basic rooms without missing out on the experiences. We stayed both on a weekend and a weekday, and I strongly recommend visiting on a weekday if possible. The crowd is lesser, and you can enjoy river activities like kayaking much more peacefully. Finally, a huge shoutout to the management and staff -- they were very courteous, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. Thanks to Mr. Benny, Pawan, Pravin, Babu, Santosh, and the sweet lady at the reception whose name I forgot to ask! And I can't forget Leo and Socks, the two friendly dogs who followed us everywhere and made our stay even more delightful.

An Amazing Experience at Hornbill! We had an absolutely refreshing time at Hornbill! The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful, making us feel right at home. The vegetarian buffet was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options that everyone in our group enjoyed. Special thanks to Manager Mr. Benny, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and was incredibly cooperative throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the entire campus stood out, making the experience even more enjoyable. As a pet lover, I was particularly touched by the presence of two beautiful dogs, Socks and Leo. They roamed freely without any restrictions and were both incredibly friendly, which made our visit even more memorable. Our group of 10 had a fantastic time, and we left with a lot of great memories. Highly recommend this place!

The best thing I liked about the resort - above everything else which are also great - is their commitment to wildlife conservation and appreciation. Naturist Pawan ji helped us to multiply our experience with nature-work at night and the next morning, my special thanks to him for his practical tips with photography. The water activities included with the package was nothing less than a thrill. The food was very tasty. We enjoyed every moment of our two-day trip.

A truly enchanting destination to stay in Dandeli, offering a serene atmosphere right on the banks of the river. This is the perfect location for an unforgettable rafting experience. The food was exceptional, the staff was warm and attentive, and the rooms were nothing short of superb. Ideal for a peaceful 2-night getaway, this place combines comfort with adventure. The management exceeded expectations, and the guide who took us on a morning walk shared fascinating insights about the surroundings. The package includes four exciting activities, such as kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, and more. River rafting is available for an additional 600, making it an experience you won't want to miss. For families visiting with young children, please note that kids below 10 are not permitted to participate in river water activities. If your little ones are playing near the river when you are in water, I strongly recommend having them wear life jackets outside the river for safety. Fortunately, the kids' play area is located far from the river, ensuring a secure environment for them to enjoy.

We checked in here for two nights after we walked out of a nearby resort which wasn't to our taste. Hornbill was most certainly much more what we wanted. ||A large, comfortable room, well-equipped and a spacious terrace overlooking the Kali River - we spent a long time here simply watching the local birdlife and the entertainment provided by the white-water rafters as they proceeded downstream.|The food was excellent, with a large choice available at all mealtimes and the afternoon snacks were very tasty.||The staff were all especially helpful, but a special mention must be made of Pavan and Deepak who escorted us on an early morning trail walk through the magical forest, took us birdwatching in the evening, and also paddled us around on a very relaxing river boat ride.||We must thank Peter to agreeing to take us in at very short notice.

Hornbill River Resort is really good the view was really awesome. The room ambience can be improved the only thing bother me was there was some rat in the room which eat my daughter biscuits. Because of the rat i was not able to sleep peacefully. I can understand since the house was on tree and its impossible to stop rats and other small things to stop entering into tree house. Out of all the food was awesome they served all three meals with hi-tea. The other awesome part is hotel guide will take you to trekking into forest in morning and night and you will have different kind of experiences and we were there in resort with my 4 years kid. We really had nice time at resort i would definitely recommend for others

the staff especially ben and peter sir are the best people we have ever met. they shared their experiences and guided us to explore other places. they just became like a family with in a short span of time.the staff member pavan always guided us in a fantastic way. this resort is the first option i would suggest .its serene and wind breeze and river side view, its a wonderful place. four days of journey here was a way very best and most memorable one for us. a special thanks for your hospitality and services.
