Prestige Nature Homestay Chikmagalur - IPL Streaming

Stayed at Prestige Nature Homestay on 22nd and 23rd March and had a great time. Beautiful house, old style decor that reminds you of your Grandparents home and wonderful memories. Easily accessible as entrance right next to a road, no off-roading required. ;) Due to tight budget, had to book the stay without food however got it for a GREAT Price of Rs. 600 per day and believe me, had to go through a lot of resorts to find such an affordable place without having to compromise on quality. The helper Vinod did drive me to the town on his two wheeler so I can pickup food at this Great Place which served both Veg & Non Veg. First night, we had Bonfire and the picture on Google Maps does not do it justice. It is a piece of land behind the stay, a little walk up the mountain and there you find it, a little gem hidden, perfectly isolated. Second night, we watched IPL which was setup by the Stay itself, had a great time there too. You can also ask the staff for Sports Equipment as we played Cricket and Badminton. Overall experience was AWESOME and would recommend to call the Sunil who manages the place rather than going through websites like Make My Trip. He shared all the info I requested being polite and very patient with me.

This was my first Homestay and it was really good. The caretakers and host were really supportive i liked their service and Homestay ambiance. The homestay was surrounded with lush greenery and is near a tourist spot

Very decent budget friendly place to hangout with frnds and family. Food is good and location is excellent to relax and chill. Host sunil took care of everything well.

Everything was fine, except for the broken granite table which slipped and fell on my ankle whilst i leaned on the table for a little support, the granite stone was not attached to the stand and fell on my leg and I fell down as well, the disappointing part was the owner wasn't concerned if something had happened to my leg but to pay for the broken granite stone, this is not the right customer service as i myself am from customer service. And in the end I ended up paying for the broken granite. And we were forced to pay for it.

More of agent than owner....got deceived -we called and confirmed prices and availability before entering Chikmaglur. -after reaching , they said room is sold. This stay is 7km from Chikaglur. That too we reached by evening 9pm...so we dint have much choice.. -has shown different near by home stays as an agent. They are similar to this stay and were ok - during vacating room comes his true agent form into picture....he doubled prices saying that the prices informed earlier was per person and not per room - here comes the logic. The stay was not booked online. So no proof for us. -as we were tired and desperate for room...we could not check general formalities....like...the home stay owner should collect minimal information right....that never happened...see this is dangerous for both the parties. - my kid was not feeling good that time...so did not fight much. This is insane business way....spoilt the mood to visit the good places. - broken the trust....never believe any hotel or stay guys....anywhere in india....athithi devo bhava.....this never be true here. Loot the athithi is the right slogan for these guys. -original price when enquired with the owners of the stay we were...it was 50% less per person. So ended up paying about 50% more with this agent. Book only in online...have everything pakka before check in in written form from them.... These agents are booking more stays for the original owners....so the owners are not able to act on these agents though the truth is known.... But this business here is going wrong....they are just looking for money...security is out of question here.. be careful ....
