Doddamane Homestay in Sakleshpur

Owner claims this home stay is close to Sakleshpur town, don't go by his word. It's more than 45 Kms from town. Currently managed by an elderly couple, they are hardly interested to provide any kind of service. Even to get basic Tea or Coffee we have to go and request them at nearby store run by this couple. Bathroom is clean, but they don't even have a mirror, they provide no soap or handwash. Although we paid for a package with all the 3 meals, they hardly interested to prepare food. They don't even give water glasses. One afternoon, they got food from nearby restaurant in plastic bags and they just dumped on the dining table and asked us to do self service. There was no vessels, no spoons to serve, we have to pour food on banana leaf. Least we expect good service from a homestay. This was the worst example of hospitality and service.

I am part of HBC biking community. The first week of May 2025 saw us picking this homestay for our "stay ride". It is economical, eco friendly, digital detox and lots of beautiful locations to ride to nearby. Overall we had a good fun time as a group of 14 people. Kiran our host was very accommodating and it felt like a home away from home. Definitely a great place to choose for your next stay.

I wish I could give ZERO STAR. Oone of our worst experiences. No proper facilities in the homestay...Worst and most basic food. Food was made like they were doing a favour to us. Extremely bad service. Two old people taking care of the place, looks like they are forced into it and not interested at all. Homestays are made only from Hospitality, bad service is bad homestay. I would never recommend this place.

Hondabeerclub Motorcycle Riders had a Stay Ride from 2nd May to 4th May, 2nd May was also the Wedding Anniversary of the Founder of the Riding Club, we were 14 of us with 4 married couples on 9 Honda Hghness Bikes and 1 Car, this homestay cuts you out from the world as there is no Mobile Connectivity. It's a rustic stay with Home Cooked food by Kiran and his Mom n Dad, we were treated like extended family members as they cooked n served us too on banana leaves. The homstay is clean n pleasant with rooms well maintained asbu can't take your footwear inside the rooms, we did a lot now sightseeing in Sankleshpur like waterfalls, Ponds, Fort, Devara beta Sunset etc.

One of the best stay for Nature Lover. Surrounded by Lush greenery and mountains. Full peace of mind.

Nice Homestay ever visited. My trip was unforgettable because of Kiran and my co passenger. Enjoyed lot. Home food was tasty and enjoyed after long time. Kiran joined us and he is fabulous to spend time. Thank you Kiran. Rooms are hygiene and memory foam beds are nice to sleep, I Wakeup at morning 11 am. Over all it was memorable.
