This hotel was a lifesaver. We reached Bangalore at around 1 :30 in the morning and the hotel we booked from oyo was closed luckily we found this hotel and we got a good nights sleep. The washroom is very clean . And the service is amazing . the bed was super comfy. We stayed for three nights and it was one of the best hotels. We were sad to leave at the end.
Buyer beware; so many issues with this hotel: 1) As soon as I walked in to the room, I saw a young cockroach on the floor; the hotel boy took care of squashing it. In the two days, I had to deal with three more. See the pictures. After I noticed, the office boy wasn't surprised or responded to me asking him to spray Red Hit, I didn't bother to complain and just deal with these pesky bugs, hoping it does not become a nightmare; and luckily it did not. 2) My trip to Bangalore was to meet few friends and associates after 10-15 years. So, I booked a deluxe room with separate sitting area with sofa, chairs and a table. At 11am, when the guests arrived, the receptionist said, only 2 guests at a time allowed in the room; so, I let the rest sit in the reception area. Then in the afternoon 3pm, I had 3 guests and it was not possible for me to choose only 2 amongst them; so, I complained to the receptionist, as it was not mentioned in the listing, it was not posted in the room (such as, in the back of the main door), and I had got the room with a sitting area primary for the meets. We then went out to a nearby restaurant. Later in the early evening, I got a summon from the receptionist to come down as the manager wants to talks to me. I refused. The manager (unverified) and another person soon knocked on my door and literally picked up a fight. Key points of his arguments, a) in one of the myriad sites, they said visitors not allowed; I booked online "directly" with the hotel and it did not; b) they counted guests; i.e., they allowed me 2, and not 2 at a time; c) he said the visitors during the day also count as extra occupants and if I like to have visitors, I need to pay Rs.400 (or something similar; don't remember the exact amount) per guest as extra occupants. I told the "manager" that all the hotels I have been to in the last four decades have concurrent visitors and curfew after 10pm restrictions; he didn't care. I also told him, I did comply with their objections; so, he should not be looking to pick a fight with me since if the situation compels me to write about his argumentative attitude, it might negatively impact his hotel business; but, that didn't quieten him either. 3) This hotel does business in multiple names; in some travel sites, it is listed as "Hotel Savi International" and the hotel site I got (from Google reviews of hotels in Malleswaram) had listed it as "Savi Inn near Bengaluru Palace". Presumably in one of those myriad listings, it was listed as no visitor allowed, though the manager just flashed it on his mobile and did not let me see the site or answer to my query as to which site he was showing. 4) The hotel is centrally located near Mantri Mall (the reason I chose it as easy for the visitors to find the place). But, it is at the dead end of a narrow alley and NOT easy to find. To most of my visitors I had to give directions. The hotel also does NOT have any parking space. 5) Other than roaches, sofa with cigarette burnt holes, barely working AC with at 25 Deg lowest, no hangers, etc., the room was clean; bathroom had hot water. 6) In one of reviews, I was happy to see a dining room; but the hotel has none. They allow swiggy, zomato, etc. or pay the boy to bring tea, coffee or whatever you want from nearby restaurants on cash basis. It has been a week, and I was hoping to get over the feeling to force myself to write this "nasty" review; but then thought, I should let you know, since for the same money you may find other places where you can meet and greet acquaintances.
The room was fullly infested by cockroaches. In the middle of the night, we could not step into the washroom without stepping on a cockroach. The AC was not functioning, and kept making loud banging noises. The TV remote was not working. The bathroom is very tiny. There's no parking as shown in the images. Prices are too high. You can get a clean and better room for way cheaper around here.
Best location and mantri mall is just 02 min away. Food and restaurant available near the hotel. Staff is very supportive
Warning for all prospective clients, sharing personal experience. Savi hotel looks good - exterior / physically. The staff though are not trained, are extremely rude & rough. The supervisors / front managers support such uncouth behavior, and will bicker with the customer. They will directly say we don't want customers!! They gang-up, verbally insult, saying they don't care about what clients have to say... you just quietly stay or leave. They get full payment upfront (even for non-online bookings) - then they will not care to provide service. For every small matter, you have to run behind them, repeatedly requesting. Staff do as they please, higher-management is unseen / seems to have no control. From such interaction, likely your entire Bangalore stay experience will be ruined. There are many other hotels with good service nearby (as this is a good location) - we shifted, fed-up with the bad behaviour. Arrogant staff. Open display of bad attitude. Definitely Avoid.
Value for money and perfect place for business purpose stay.
I had stayed during short trip. Upon check in I found my room was still dirty. I had to call up housekeeping to clean my room again. The staff is quite friendly. The breakfast in the morning was cold. I believe as the guests don't take their breakfasts at hotel but prefer outside. Prons. Centrally located Nice small cosy rooms Friendly staff Room service Cons. Cleanliness Cold breakfast
