OYO 24127 Vishnu Regency

Quality and quantity of food is good. But the options were very very restricted. Service speed is pathetically slow and only chapati and daal were available when we went. Cannot cope up with large influx. But people are polite. People who want veg only places can bear these shortcomings and go there.

For a small town like Belur, this is definitely deserves 5 star rating... We were on a family trip with kids... Around 2.45 pm we reached and were circumspect if they will be serving or closed... But they served all we asked from menu... Some fruit juices were not available but nice choices and very courteous staff...

We had went to Belur to visit the temple, it was very hot and unfortunately this regency has only 2 A/C rooms which were full, please plan before going, unless you might end up suffering in the hotel.||||There is actually a very nice govt run guest house which was full and we had to look for this place, the hotel is quite nice but pretty old.||They have not maintained the rooms so well, we could locate and kill 2 or 3 cockroaches in our room. It was also not so clean. ||||Rooms are not spacious either, they have very basic facilities, no 24/7 hot water service, hot water only available till 7 to 9 am.||||Not so tidy place, the parking is very confined and its very hard to park or remove the vehicle.||||But the only advantage is its very close to the temple and you can almost walk to the temple on a early morning.||||Food is also available in the ground floor, but we did not try and hence can't comment on that.

Has been to this place a couple of times. A nice veg hotel and lodging facility in Belur town. Has got parking place Neat toilet Food is good Rates are reasonable Not very crowded always Biggest minus point is that the service is very bad. But you can't get everything right always... Some times you have to adjust.

This place definitely a good choice if you are looking for a veg restaurant. We were late for the breakfast and when we got in, all we could get was pulav and puri, but both tasted very nice. I felt price was little high for that place. For a plate for pulav we paid 70/- rupees. As it tasted good, we convinced ourself. Very close to main road, easily noticeable. Parking lot is there for 4 wheeler as well. We didn't stay there so don't know about room and Accomodation. It's located nearly half a km from the belur temple.

Stopped by for lunch travelling from Bangalore to Chikmagaluru. We were a group of 4 with a 3 year old boy. The place is close to temple which is good but of little consequence for us. The meals on offer were decent though nothing special. The service was poor given that we were only one of the two tables occupied. The loos were not as clean as they should have been and had a little stench to it which made the whole experience poor.

Very professional staff. Plenty of parking space. Good restaurant which provides food at reasonable rates. Rooms are also good. Badminton court can be used. Kids can enjoy the stay.

This place is very congested & cramped. Further it is very understaffed, be prepared for slow service. The wash basin area is very dirty, makes one wonder how the kitchen would be... Owner was not courteous at all, with no consideration that the family is traveling with a child / elderly. The place seems to flourish as there is no competition around.
