Hotel New Uday Bhuvan

The new uday bhuvan and Uday bhuvan are my favourite hotels. These are all old hotels. You can taste all your favourite poori and dosa. This is the hotel where I first heard about Veera Savarkar. Apart from Food they sell Veerasavarkar book. Earlier they were 3 brothers. All of them were super cooperative to all customers. While studying in Gss, the sunday night meal was at this hotel. The per plate meal at that time was Rs. 12. Now check the prices as attached. One our 1997 seniors farewell was done in this hotel.

A decent experience. The rooms are well equipped with TV and Air conditioning. There is option for hot water.

The rooms are clean but basic. Location is good, it is on the main road. Staff is friendly and has good service. I loved the breakfast, especially the usal puri. Coffee was too good!!

Uday bhavan is well known for catering in belgaum. I had booked catering for my reception and I was given a total cost of food including every catering services. Once my reception got over these Uday bhavan catering had borrowed some tables from my decorator and didnt inform me and later I had to pay the rent for these tables. Before booking the catering services I have clearly asked if there are any extra charges to be paid for extra food tables, at that time they said every thing Uday bhavan will arrange and later these people created hoax and I had to pay. So before booking for catering services at Uday bhavan do ask these people about each and everything of the services they provide. These people are very cunning. Only having business brand doesn't mean the people working are sincere.

Uday Bhuvan, a very well known name in Belgaum/Belagavi in Karnataka. This place is a paradise for South Indian snacks in breakfast and believe me when I say that people of Belgaum even wait in queue for their turn to eat. Anyways, talking about Uday Bhuvan lodging in their Banquet building, it was a pathetic experience. Recently we had booked their terrace for an engagement ceremony. Our guests were travelling from long distance hence we had booked 2 dorm rooms for their stay. The hotel confirmed the booking. However, when the guests arrived it was an utter embarrassing moment for us as the pillows given in the rooms were so dirty, I would've puked. I had to scold them to have not changed it before allotting the room. The guests are in the room and one of the house keeping guys is adding a fresh pillow cover to the dirty pillows. They didn't change the pillows but just covered it up with fresh looking covers. Pathetic it was. I hope if the hotel owners read this they do something about these pillows.

This lodge is situated at a convenient place with transport, hotels, railway station, busstand easily reachable. Not much traffic, clean, complimentary breakfast, toilets, lift, hot water, shower, toilet, TV, fan, spacious beds, 24 hour open lodge. The same lodge has their hotel supplied with pure vegetarian north & south Indian dishes with reasonable rates. Open till 11:00 pm. Fast, neat, sumptuous, tasty food.

Good place to stay and good food available here.

New Uday Bhuvan is getting old! Good location n service but a lot of scope in upgrading the interior n decor. I would like to change in maintaining this property and am happy to release pending star.
