Country Club Wildlife Resort Bandipur

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Country Club Bandipur Resort, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The location is serene and ideal for a getaway, surrounded by nature and close to the Bandipur forest. The ambiance of the resort blends well with the natural setting, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. The staff was courteous and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were clean and decently maintained, although there is some scope for improvement in terms of furnishings and upkeep to match expectations from a resort in such a prime location. The food was satisfactory with a good mix of local and standard options, but a bit more variety on the menu would be appreciated. The highlight, however, was the proximity to wildlife and the opportunity to go on a safari - a must-do activity for any guest. Overall, it's a great place for a short stay if you're looking to disconnect and be close to nature. With some minor enhancements in hospitality and amenities, it could be an exceptional retreat.

Nestled deep within the lush greenery of Mangala Village, Bandipur, Country Club offers a truly immersive forest retreat. The winding drive through the Western Ghats builds anticipation, and once you arrive, the panoramic views of canopied treetops and distant hills immediately captivate you. The resort's location is its greatest asset--if you long for tranquillity and fresh, woodland air, you won't be disappointed. From check-in to check-out, the staff consistently impresses with their warmth and genuine friendliness. Whether you're greeted at reception, served in the restaurant, or asking for extra towels, every team member goes out of their way to ensure you feel welcome. That said, several areas deserve attention. While the rooms are spacious and thoughtfully laid out, the interiors feel tired and in need of modernization--upgraded furnishings, brighter lighting, and fresh decor would go a long way. Most urgently, the toilets across all accommodations require serious renovation; outdated fixtures and water stains distract from an otherwise pleasant stay. The restaurant and common areas also show signs of wear and could benefit from a facelift and some contemporary amenities. On the brighter side, the swimming pool is well maintained and offers a refreshing escape, and the on-site restaurant serves tasty, hearty meals. I also miss the guided trekking and nightly bonfires that were available during my last visit--reinstating these activities would perfectly complement the resort's natural setting and elevate the overall experience. Overall, Country Club Bandipur has immense potential: with targeted upgrades and a few revived activities, it could become the premier forest getaway in the region.

We stayed here for a night, the location of the resort is inbetween the wildlife reserve and protected with solar fencing We had a pleasant stay at this peaceful resort, surrounded by nature where monkeys and deer roam freely--truly a refreshing escape from city life. The rooms are small but were clean and well-maintained, though they could use better lighting to enhance comfort during the evenings. The resort offers both indoor and outdoor play areas, making it family-friendly, and the swimming pool was clean and inviting. Overall, a serene getaway with a lot to enjoy, though a few small enhancements could elevate the experience further. Food is not complementary and it's costly here. Only buffet is available and it costs around 450-600 per person per time. Swimming pool timing is 8 am to 6pm.

We had a wonderful experience at Country Club, Bandipur. The location is absolutely beautiful and serene, perfect for a peaceful getaway close to nature. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very welcome. The food was also delicious and had a good variety to choose from. Overall, a great place to relax and unwind -- highly recommended!

Average rating reasons: 1. Friendly staff but not helpful 2. Average food. Some dishes like dal, manchurian, idli and breakfast rice varieties were good. Rest all dishes in lunch, dinner and breakfast were not even worth mentioning. I am sure based on paneer texture it was fake paneer. 3. Looks like they had drinking water issues. There were no water refill points neither near room or in restaurant. Based on guests enough water and glasses were not kept. We had to ask for it every time. 4. AC remote control had loose connection 5. TV is there but no connection to cable. 6. Zero hotel wifi and mobile network. On requesting reception on wifi they told wifi is open but they may not work. There are ten's of wifi network but they hardly work for few seconds. If you are staying just to travel to another location on your vacation and okay to adjust for a night I can suggest this is good place

The resort is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature, with well-maintained walking paths that make it enjoyable to explore the grounds. Unfortunately, there's no mobile network coverage and Wi-Fi is only available at the reception, which can be inconvenient. They offer indoor games and activities but its all namesake although The swimming pool is maintained well. Overall: A great spot if you're looking to disconnect and be close to nature, but the resort could definitely improve on cleanliness and comfort.

Location of property is excellent with beautiful landscapes and serenity. Food served as buffet is average and is no culinary delight. Con's : The behavior of the service staff is I don't care attitude. The front desk guys body language shows the very intent to be not service oriented towards the customer. In fact on checkout the front desk guys was trying to pull the bill receipts from my hand before I can review them. Overall a bad and unprofessional front desk. Although while booking the property the reservation guy mentioned all assistance shall be provided for booking a jungle safari at the property. The front desk completely acted in defiance and did not help in booking one, giving vague and changed versions every time. Do not rely on the property to book any safari's for you, book your own or better of stay in JLR for hassle free safari rides bookings.

Our stay at Bandipur, country Club was ok as we were a family of 14 for holiday, the rooms were good, spacious, the staff was helpful. The house keeping staff had problems with understanding the language and the requirements. The towels were stained, though we were provided with new ones everyday but we weren't satisfied with the hygiene of the towels, hand towels. Cleaning of the rooms was done very superficially. The beds weren't dusted nicely just the bedsheets tightened up. The restaurant staff on the 1st day had already fixed the menu for us. Whereas for the next two days they catered to us our requirements especially jain. The washing of the vessels(plates, bowls, cutlery), drying of the same still needs to be worked more. The restaurant hygiene also needs to be worked more. The view of the resort good, spacious rooms, ambience good, animals roaming around were a great sight.
