Mayura hotel, Ballari

This hotel is truly one of a kind, The idli and vada are delicious, but the sambar steals the show. Every bite bursts with the perfect blend of spices. To top it off, the filter coffee is just right, making it the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommended.

After a tiring journey into Bellary from Bangalore, I searched out this hotel as most of the common hotels were already full. I just had to spend a day , so I was just looking for a decent enough hotel. Luckily for me this hotel suited very well. The room was big, clean and with good wash room. Hot water was available in the tap to my delight and I could get freshened up . To my further surprise,the Restaurant of the hotel turned out to be the best., serving hot items at very reasonable rates. In fact , the restaurant is the most visited in the area ,open to the public . The hotel accommodation charges were also pretty reasonable.

I stayed at Mayura lodge for one night.||||The double bedroom is very small (8' X 21') and attached bathroom.||||Beds were very dirty with ladies hair on one of the beds. Pillow covers not at all clean.||||They don't have a room boy and to get room service is an uphill task.||||No newspaper delivered to your room. You have to actually ask the front desk staff for your newspaper.||||Ample parking space available. Lodge not visible from main street.||||Double bedroom tariff was Rs. 650 + taxes.||||Overall, I don't think I will stay at this lodge next time. I suggest my friends and family family to stay away from this lodge.

It's ok if u come alone as a single bed is available at 400. But if u come in pair go for a better hotel as it's 800 for a double bed in mayura

went for a marriage with colleagues in the first week, expected that things will be good but normal rooms are ok with less price, staff are not trained how to treat others. A/C rooms are very nice. restaurant in the hotel so no need to go out some where can dine in the room itself.

Taste was good, but price was very high for masala dosa

Food is not that good, yes only you can fill your stomach if you are traveling that's it nothing more. Sitting area is like more of open just one sheet on top and under that chairs and tables upon which dozens of flies will be roaming here and there!!!!!! That's terrible to watch. A lot of cleanliness is required to be maintained by staff here. And service is really pathetic, we have to keep waiting for someone to attend us. It's a easy on pocket. I have tried my hands on only food, lodging I have never tried. Given an option will think twice before going there

Boy, was the staff here weird! Most did not speak Hindi so they just chose to ignore me!||||Rooms were quite clean, housekeeping was done regularly (stayed 2 nights). The lock on my room wasn't functioning properly though - I had to keep calling the waiters who fiddled with it for a minute each time before it worked. It was irritating.||||The food in the outdoor restaurant is fine, I didn't find anything special about it. Also, the owner / manager of the restaurant was very rude; on the first day, when I got my bill I told him it was to be added to my hotel bill as advised by the receptionist. He started yelling at me, saying I should have told him that when I ordered my food! I insisted that it was not my fault - the receptionist should have told me this when he denied room service and asked me to go the restaurant. It was annoying that they advertise room service but did not offer it while I was staying.||||The bar next door (same compound as the hotel) had very good food, but the service was too slow.||||Price-wise, this hotel is way low value for money. OK for a short stay I suppose, but I will not go back here due to the indifferent staff.
