Sanjus Homestay , Ammathi, Coorg

The caretakers are really very cooperative and the breakfast was good. The entrance of the property itself looks shabby as it was not cleaned. The property has absolutely no maintanence, rooms not clean, bathrooms very dirty and shaby. The toilets are in a pathetic state. No basic amenities and two rooms are interconnected with less privacy. The bedspreads and blankets were not cleaned and washed had a dirty smell.

Property is surrounded by coffee estate. Me and my family stayed there for a week and it was a pleasant experience . Best part is they host one group / family at a time . Rooms are clean and specious with nice viewing balcony both front and rear side of the property . Overall nice experience and enjoyed our stay .

Gas geyser is a safety issue. Installed breaking safety regulations in a small room. It should be installed outside house. Carbon monoxide poisoning and death possible. I will never stay there if gas geyser present inside bathroom. I didn't stay but I visited the place for possible stay . Indians don't have no building codes no building inspection no verification for occupancy by government. You are on your own.

Good place to stay but they have no Ac and it's on the 1st floor with a narrow staircase. So if you are travelling with senior citizens then you might have trouble. Lots of insects also enter the room so you have too live with it. The place is located at a very beautiful place with plantation all around. Uncle and auntie who stay there are very helpful and cook very good food too

I stayed here in May 2022 with 3 others from my family for a short trip to attend a family function (in Siddapura) Though the location is good, be informed that you wont get anything around this area! It gets deserted post 5PM. The biggest issue we had was, there is no power backup in the rooms though the folks downstairs have it (which speak volumes on how much the host cares about the guests) Also even if we had power the ceiling fans are not well positioned to properly ventilate the room. They were very old and didnt function well. One may ask why you need Fans in Coorg area! Trust me during the summer you really need it. Temp will be around 30 untill it gets night or it rains. You cannot stay inside the room. You may think you can walk to the balcony and cool off but you will be welcomed with millions of variety of bugs attracted to the light. Checkin experience was also not nice. There was no one around to help us with the luggage. The homestay is on the 1st floor. So carrying luggage is a hassle. Checkout was not flexible also. Host didnt give any provision to keep our luggage in the premise. He simply denied late checkout. Overall terrible experience in this place. Kindly improve the mentioned areas.

Awesome place to stay and best part Sanju is a great host . I enjoyed each and every moment of my stay over here. Sanju's mom cooks delicious pork and should be tried . All food were very homely and you will like it .

Hygiene and food was taken care very well, i believe they should get more things at their homestay which can increases the stay of their guest. Overall the place was affordable and budget friendly.
