Nalanda Hotel

Stay away from this hotel like the Plague. They took the air con unit out of the room on the 3rd day , we stayed here for 4 days . First two days we stayed at the room as we were not feeling well .

Very Disappointed I recently stayed at Nalanda Hotel, Bistupur, Jamshedpur and was disappointed to find that the room facilities did not match the high price they charged. While the hotel's location and exterior appearance were impressive, the room itself was basic and lacked amenities that I would expect from a hotel in this price range. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom was tiny with a shower that had poor water pressure. Given the high price I paid, I expected a much higher level of comfort and amenities. Unfortunately, Nalanda Hotel, Bistupur, Jamshedpur failed to deliver on this expectation. Dear Travellers,Very poor facilities here please be careful Pics attached for your reference

Strictly a budget hotel and one of the oldest. Few of the rooms are good, however room tariffs are on higher side considering the facilities available. Food quality is good however there is no separate restaurant. Service staffs are very courtesious and helpful. Check out time is 12 pm but flexible on request. Good for business travelers and short stay of 1-2 days.

Good hotel located in heart of the city jamshedpur. Hotel is old . But rooms are spacious and well maintained. Good for corporates and business visit. Located in the market and near to tata steel plant. Wash room is very spacious and well equipment with all required amenities. Hotel was suggested by our business partners and we had a very pleasant stay. Hotel staff is very helpful and greets with a smiling face. Room service is fast and very polite. Rate is bit expensive but worth . Food is of good quality and taste is good.

I had gone to Jamshedpur on a business trip and had put up in this hotel. It is a very nice hotel with very courteous and helpful staff members and reasonable price. The location of the hotel is excellent. I stayed in an AC Deluxe. The rooms are provided with all necessary facilities. Free newspaper was available and biscuits were complementary with morning tea! But breakfast is not complementary. The quality and quantity of the food is very nice. Check out time is 24hrs. Overall, enjoyed my stay very much.

Hotel is located at Bistupur. Location is excellent. I stayed in single occupancy Ac room @ Rs 1800 . You can get discount at reception. Luxury room @ 2800 for twin sharing. Staffs are courteous. Luxary room are good. Infrastructure looks old but maintained properly. Toilet & bed sheets were clean. They will provide shampoo pouch & soap.||Food are ok through it is bit costly. Average cost for veg dinner will be around Rs 300. If you are planning to catch a train in the morning ,better to settle payment after dinner else it will take 10-15 min. Auto`s are easily available in front of hotel. Settle Auto is also available. Distance from hotel to Tatanagar station is around 3 km & auto will charge Rs 60-80.

Hey, ||Visited Jamshedpur in mid Nov and was part of the wedding guests (Baraatis) attending a wedding function. Was put up in a Super Deluxe room no.25 on the first floor but did also get to see all the other rooms of the hotel as the whole hotel was booked for us. The rooms are quiet cosy with clean bedsheets and wooden dated furniture. There was a lot of POP work done in the room to give it the "Super Deluxe" effect. Toilets were also clean. Also checked out the VIP room on the second floor which had a bathtub and a seperate dressing area. Room Service was very prompt and there was 24 hours hot water in the hotel. The staff also was coordial. Our lunches and dinners were also organised in the banquet hall on the second floor and were as home cooked food. ||There is just one disadvantage for the people staying on the second floor though. The kitchen is placed there and I have seen rats run in and out from there with every chance of them entering in your room. So while staying there keep your doors always closed. Otherwise I didn't even find mosquitoes around!||The hotel is also centrally located diagonally opposite Ginger Hotels in the main market road Bistupur area. There are also a line of hotels in and around this hotel so guess they are quiet competitive as well. ||And overall since we had gone to attend a wedding, we were all in a jolly mood to let anything sour our moods. So all in all was a pleasant stay.

Stayed here while on a business trip to Tatanagar. This is one of the oldest hotels in Jamshedpur (Hotel Natraj is the other one) - I remember staying here with my parents way back in the 1980s!!!!! Location of the hotel is excellent - right on Bistupur Main road with ample eateries, shops and autos available nearby.||||However, seems the hotel has really not upgraded itself over time, in spite of the potential it had. Jamshedpur now offers much better and newer options at the same price. The place & the staff had an overall tired feel to it, so much so that it was almost depressing to go back to the hotel after a hard day's work.||||Tip: do not book online. The hotel seemed quite empty when we landed up, and negotiated a much better rate at the reception - Rs. 2,200 for a deluxe double room.
