Veena Regency

Veena Regency is a classic example of "wasted potential of a good property," where either the Hotel Management does not realize its potential or is not doing enough to maintain and elevate it to the standard it deserves. The hotel has a great foundation, but maintenance issues and staff inefficiencies hold it back from being a solid three-star property. Check-in Experience: From the moment I arrived, I noticed the lack of warmth in the reception staff. While they were not rude, they were not welcoming either. After filling out the basic check-in form, I promptly provided my ID proof as requested. However, the staff member at the counter was unmindful, distracted, engaged in conversation with other employees. I had to stand there for at least two to three minutes before he even acknowledged my presence and resumed the formalities. Such unprofessional behavior creates a poor first impression. Room & Facilities: On a positive note, the room was good and offered great value for money. Both the room and bathroom were clean, which was appreciated. However, certain aspects require immediate attention: - The mosquito net on the windows was damaged. - The air conditioning system was outdated and not very effective. - Small cockroaches were spotted in the washroom, indicating the need for pest control. - The wall and floor pasting had worn off, showing signs of neglect. - The towel handler was broken. While most of these are not major issues individually, but collectively they prevent the hotel from reaching its full potential. A few minor renovations and regular maintenance could significantly improve the overall experience. Ambience & Facade : The hotel has the advantage of being pond-facing, which could be a major selling point. However, the road, pond, and shoreline in front of the hotel are not well maintained. While this is beyond the hotel's direct control, advocating for its improvement or making small enhancements within the hotel's premises could positively impact its appeal. Overall Experience : Despite its shortcomings, I liked my stay at Veena Regency and would choose this property again, primarily for its rooms, affordability, and location. However, I urge the Hotel Management to recognize the potential of this hotel and take proactive steps to address maintenance issues and improve staff professionalism. With the right efforts, Veena Regency could transform into one of the best Hotel/accommodations in Bokaro City.

My friend passed out waiting for water. As it took 2 hours for the water to get to our room. Room service works at 0.5x. We got 1 towel between 4 people to share which increased our bonding. View was good

Very terrible experience, I had a booking through OTA platform and wanted to check in a little before the check in time. Front office team discussed with me and told me that there is no problem. But at the time of check out they demanded money for early check in, almost 50% of the room cost. I checked in just half an hour before the check in time and nothing was communicated to me at that moment. I have also complained to my OTA booking platform. Management please look into the matter.

My friend got stuck in lift for 20 mins due to power failure. Worst service and behaviour till date experienced, service slow working at 0.25x Very shady place, after 10 pm no staff available. Staff talking in rude tone and disconnecting call within 2 secs, had to call infinite number of times for a small thing. Bring your own towel, soap, shampoo, water, blanket, etc. without fail. Don't disturb hotel staff for these small matters.

Worst service and behaviour till date experienced, service slow completed on next day. Very shady place, after 10 pm no staff available. Talking in rude tone and insulting guests, threatening and complaining about guests. Zero security, zero customer value, zero service. Cats roaming inside the room and corridor. No power backup, no water, no toiletries. Never visit this hotel if you want your stay to be pleasant.

Atmosphere was humid and coolers were not sufficient. Also the mixing of song was not of latest kind. They should be playing international songs mixed with indian folk and bollywood as well. Just small advice.

It's an awesome stay in the Veena Regency. Rooms are very gold and specious. The washroom is also neat and clean. The staff is very polite. I ordered some food and that was very good in taste. But one thing I would like to mention is that the service is very poor. I got my dinner after several calls and followed up. This should be needed to improve. You will get a good view of the lake from the window. It is situated on the Jharkhand Purulia highway. If you need anything you have to tell the service boy of the hotel or have to walk around 10 minutes. They have a small park as well inside the hotel. Overall it's a good one.

Very bad experience...food service was poor...and double quantity was added at the time of bill.I visited hotel for marriage purpose but instead of providing good service hotel staff asked for payment with increased quantity. This is ridiculous...not at all tolerable.
