Valley haritage resort

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Valley Heritage Resort Hotel for four days, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The hotel's ambiance is serene and picturesque, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. My room was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all modern amenities, making it a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food. The in-house restaurant served a variety of dishes that were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Stayed for 5 days, mid April. One of the worst stay till date . Wanted to cancel the booking on the day 1 itself. Alas, just to save few bucks,had booked directly with the hotel. Hence , no cancellation. By no means it is a resort. It is not even a proper hotel. You can call it a low grade guest house. It is listed on Airbnb claiming to have kitchen access. Kitchen is on ground floor and all rooms are on 2nd and 3rd floor except one. This guest house is located in BATAPORA area far outskirt of Srinagar in the residential area. Except pahalgam all other tourist places like Sonmarg, Gulmarg, doodh pathri, Srinagar city, etc are far away. No parking space for tempo traveller. The owner of the property lives on the houseboat ,hence the name CAPTAIN. He does not live here in the so called resort. He would only come to receive payments. He talks sweet. Beware of his sweet words, same old story - guest house is outside the city, no noise ,no pollution blah blah. Packs of dogs would start barking around 3 am in the land beside the properties and not let you sleep.This guest house does not have in-house restaurant. Those claiming the same and giving 5 Star rating and copy pasting review from ChatGPT are all fake and we fell for it . I hope no one else does. You can call houseboat Captain Hameed Sahab for any cab related bookings. Must admit , he is helpful in this regard. That might be because he gets heavy commission for cab bookings, I assume. Just make sure, you compare the price elsewhere as well. For a tempo traveller for 6500 Rs quoted by Hamid Sahab, we got a new tempo traveller at 4500Rs elsewhere . There is no water purifier in the guest house. The kitchen tap water is a bit salty. Would advise you to drink that water only in emergency case. There is no shop nearby so better bring the water from the city itself. Market is 15 -20 min walk away but you will not find any restaurant. So You are left with two options either to have dinner in the city or order through Swiggy/zomato. Don't order after 8 pm or else you might have to sleep empty stomach. The in-house caretaker, although a good guy behaviour-wise , knows only Aaloo-paratha . You can pay Rs 270/ person for two parathas in breakfast. That's 135 Rs / Paratha. Washroom for 3rd floor rooms is on the ground floor. If travelling with family and kids , good luck to you. During the 5 day stay , not once was the room or the bedsheet changed or cleaned. Self-proclaimed Captain sahab expects you to keep room 100% clean even after 5 day stay. I Used the towel to wipe the ragi and cerelac from the mouth and face of my infant .This captain sahab , without actually verifying, called me twice over WhatsApp and started accusing me that how shameless It was of me of wiping my infant's butt with his bathroom towel. How can some talk like that. What's actually shameful is that the owner is not some hot headed youth, he is well over 65 ,short tempered with split personality through, claiming to be having experience in tourism and hospitality. I would rather prefer a hotel within the city. Stay away from extra sweet property owners.

Stayed there for the 2 nd time. First instance was in 2018 and the next in 2025. Excellent experience both times. Captain Hameed and Khalid are best hosts and we enjoyed their hospitality. The place is clean, the view from the room is breathtaking, the service is awesome. We had a full 6 day plan across Kashmir and we were taken good care of. The entire family parents, grandparents as well as kids everyone loves the place. The photos here are the view from the room.

Beware of this poor guest house, so far from the city, in case of any emergency you will not get any vehicle or taxi.there are no shops,no restaurant nearby to get essential things or dinner. The owner talks very sweetly just to attract customers but in reality he doesn't know how to behave properly. They don't provide you food and breakfast quality is bad and too costly.If you order anything from zomato Swiggy it will take around 1.30 hours to reach this place. All good reviews seem fake or are written by the owner's request. If we talk about rooms,they are small,and do not have enough space to keep your luggage.They will not provide you soap and handwash in the bathroom.Mattress quality is so poor. So, book this poor guest house at your own and family risk.

I had an amazing stay at the valley haritage! From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and efficient, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The room was spotless and well-appointed, with all the amenities I could need for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made for a restful night. The hotel's location was perfect--close to major attractions and dining options. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options. I highly recommend the valley haritage and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Staying there was pathetic and even breakfast was not available.I was just counting my days with limited resources which were available in resort. Below are some limitations 1. Dont expect your room and bathroom to get clean on a daily basis as they don't do it. 2.shortage of resources 3.you cannot order food anytime (after 10 pm you cannot order) 4.Security issues (you need to depend on a tall gate because only one person is available every time who takes care of everything. Kindly think thrice before visiting this resort.

The place was perfect for a large group of people. The food was great and in good quantity, the rooms were comfortable, the location was scenic and the caretakers were very polite and made sure to keep us comfortable.

I highly recommend Valley heritage resort. We were a gang of girls and were very satisfied wth their service. We were guarded wel felt secured, food was excellent, people are trustworthy. Captain Hameed is a very kind hearted person and understands our interests and arranges trip accordingly.
