Morning Mist

Had a pleasant stay at Morning Mist with family. It is a homestay with owners living on the ground floor and rooms on 1st floor for travellers. We were 3 of us so we were given a family room which had 2 rooms and 2 double beds big enough for a comfortable stay. It had all the basic amenities that you expect from a hotel. Rooms had 2 big cupboards for storage, 1 dressing table and they also provided us with a heater on request. The homestay also has a small cozy garden where you can sip on hot tea in the cold mornings. The homestay is managed by a humble caretaker Shafi who will take care of all your needs. He is fondly called as chef as he cooks home food on request. The only drawback is it's location which is in the interiors of Vakeel colony and the lanes are way too narrow. Dal lake is a 10-12 mins walk from there. It is far from city so it gets silent after 7 pm. Overall it was a pleasant experience at this homestay. If you are looking for a budget stay with the warmth of a homestay and don't t mind the interior location, then you can definitely consider Morning Mist.

We stayed at Morning Mist for more than a week just before the Pahalgam terror attacks. The rooms are very spacious. The food felt very homely. Above all, we needed Jain food and the owner and the manager made sure we get it throughout. We will remain grateful for that forever. The place is within residential area, very quiet place and a bit away from city buzz - which means you will need vehicle. Dal lake is at walking distance of about 20 mins. The amenities are all very good including the blankets, the heater, hot water facility etc. Electricity disruption remained a big time problem in Srinagar, but this place has some lights and fans always running due to inverter system. Overall very happy to stay at the Morning Mist and it is certainly very high value for money.

One of the best home stay in Srinagar near Dal Lake and Most helpful person is Dr. Riyaz son of the owner of the Villa. Must recommend everyone for family members and Will surely stay again if we visit next time

I stayed two weeks at Morning Mist Srinagar. I would simply say it is my next home in Kashmir, India. I am already planning to stay in the villa where the owner lives for a couple of months for next summer with my husband. This place is grauented safe for foreigners and the cook can make continental as well as local food. We love the delicious food by the cook. Close to famous places like Dal Lake and other Mughal gardens. For morning and evening walk, the perfect place to go on Dal Lake banks through the shortcut lane. I highly recommend Morning Mist.

It's very comfortable stay with family. You can enjoy tasty home food. We stayed here for 6 days n it's like second home in Kashmir.

This Villa, gave us very comfortable stay at Srinagar, Mr. Shavio the caretaker and the chef was very helpfull. Food he prepared was really good, which made our Kashmir trip the best. He also help us with many sugessions and dos and don'ts at Kashmir. Now
