We had a memorable 5 day & 5 night stay with Majid & his wonderful family. I took 5 days to search online for a homestay in Srinagar and it was ' worth it'. I wanted a quiet and homely place near a lake and ' Lakeside Homestay ' in Niggen lake was perfect in every way Must thank Majid's mom for preparing simple yet delicious meals suited for all four of us. Even my mom-in - law who is 82 yr old had a very comfortable stay. We were all ' ladies' group including my 14 yr old daughter. This place provides a very homely feel away from home and home cooked meals . I really liked the location of this place, hidden in a corner, just 3 minutes shikara ride ftom the car & you are at the door. Absolutely Amazing. Evening , you can take a shikara ride in a quiet atmosphere unlike in Dal lake which is very crowded. Thank you Majid & family for making our stay comfortable in every way . We hope to return soon again to beautiful Kashmir.

Stayed at this Homestay on 9th May, for 2 nights along with my family. Well this is a quiet, clean and an awesome place to stay. Built Partly on land and partly on water gives a unique experience. The view is breathtaking during sunset from the deck. . This is a family run place and the owner Mr. Latief is very kind and helpful. Loves to talk and very forward to guide you with your trip. They do have a vehicle if you need to drive you around. (with additional charges). His wife Maimoona is a good cook. Prepared some mutton for us the kashmiri way and it was delicious . His sons Majid and Rizwan are very helpful and together they are a wonderful family to stay with. They treat you as family and I wish I had some more time to be with them... The rooms are just nice and they do provide 2 blankets and hot water bags to keep you warm at nights. If you are looking for a budget stay and accompanied with good view and yummy food, this is your pick. Thank you Mr. Latief and family for making our stay comfortable and memorable. All the best.

My recent stay at Lakeside Homestay was outstanding, thanks to the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized touches throughout my stay, every interaction was marked by professionalism and genuine care. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and top-notch amenities made for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend to anyone seeking a superb hospitality experience.

I stayed at this lovely place for 5 days , it was me and my bhabhi who went for a self healing trip , to watch fall colours. Mr Latif and his wife Maimoona took very good care of us . Every day hot piping parathas and egg omlettes for breakfast ...home cooked dinner with local veggies available , freshest salads and mouthwatering local preparation of chicken n kebabs . ...never before have I eaten so much Hot water on tap , hot water bags as and when u ask for it ..tea and kahwa or coffee available on request. He arranged for our shikara ride and trip to Peer ki Gally We felt very safe and at home with the family. The house is very basic with no tv and that's the best part. The view from the porch is enough . Small ducks and varied types of kingfishers can be seen every day . Local floating shops visit the place making staying there a novel experience ...as in dukan kab aati hai yaar apne pass ...all and all a very very very good experience . I am forever so grateful to the family to have this place open for visitors .

What a great experience it was staying in this hotel . What a great family environment. Their family is such beautiful and Friendly . It felt like we are staying at home not in a hotel. Their service was 10/10. I hope we will visit again. I highly recommend staying in this hotel if you have plans of visiting Srinagar. This is not a hotel, this is another home.

If you are a sucker for lakes, serenity and heartfelt hospitality, this stay will not disappoint you. It's a one- of- a-kind homestay by the side of Nigeen lake that has rooms built partly on land and partly on water. The little boat trips from land to homestay were the cutest experience. The sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. Grandeur is not seen in the infrastructure or luxury services but in the care and goodwill of the owners who live in the rooms next to guests. The shikara they offer goes till the Dal lake, starting from Nigeen lake, giving a good 2 hour ride through beautiful waterscapes with lotus leaves and ducks around. For our family, I couldn't have found anything more perfect!

Dont hesitate just book, the place is beautiful to wake up at in the mid of the even in August it was so nice cold. Neighbors has ducks as a pet which comes out for round in the night. The whole scene n places unbelievable. owner is so humble and nice he told so many things about Kashmir which helped me all through trip.
