Dal View Resort

We had a wonderful dal view resort in Srinagar. The houseboat experience was unique and memorable for our entire family. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable stay. The hospitality of the staff and owners, *Aasif Reyaz was exceptional. Unfortunately, during our stay, we faced an unexpected tragedy--my mother-in-law suffered a silent heart attack. In this difficult moment, the houseboat staff went above and beyond to help us. They immediately arranged a boat to take us to the nearest ghat, assisted in getting an ambulance, and stayed with us throughout the hospital procedures. Not only did they support us at the hospital, but they also helped in coordinating with the police, the DC office, and ensuring that all formalities were completed smoothly. They even assisted in organizing the last rites, finding the required items, and guiding us at every step. Their kindness and support during such a difficult time showed us what true hospitality and humanity look like. We are forever grateful to Aasif bhai, and the entire dal view resort team for standing by us like family.

1 Star - A Deeply Disappointing and Uncomfortable Stay (6th-7th Feb)||I regret to say that my stay at Dal View Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. From misleading booking practices to appalling service, this property failed on every front. ||**1. Bait-and-Switch Room Scam:** |Upon arrival, we were shocked to discover that the room assigned to us looked *nothing* like the one advertised on Goibibo. The photos showcased a clean, modern space, but what we received was a dated, poorly maintained room with stained furniture and musty odors. This blatant misrepresentation feels like a scam to lure guests. ||**2. Disregard for Check-In Time:** |Goibibo clearly stated check-in begins at **12 PM**, but the staff rudely insisted we wait until **2:30 PM** without offering a valid explanation or even a place to wait comfortably. After a long journey, this lack of flexibility or empathy set the tone for the rest of our stay. ||**3. Heater Failure & Nightmare "Service":** |The worst part came at **11:30 PM** when the room heater abruptly stopped working. Freezing and desperate, we called reception for help, only to be told, *"We're sleeping, wait until 7 AM."* No apology, no urgency--just indifference to our discomfort. We spent the night shivering under thin blankets, unable to sleep. ||**4. Zero Accountability:** |When we raised these issues at checkout, the staff shrugged them off, refusing to acknowledge their failures or offer compensation. Their apathy confirmed that guest satisfaction means nothing here. ||**Final Thoughts:** |Dal View Resort prioritizes cutting corners over customer care. The misleading room photos, disrespect for booking terms, and negligent staff make this property utterly unworthy of your money or time. **Do not book here** unless you want to risk sleepless nights, false advertising, and zero support in emergencies. ||**Goibibo** - I urge you to investigate this property's unethical practices and hold them accountable.

A magical Dal Lake experience! The houseboat offered stunning views and excellent amenities.Aasif bhai and sahil Bhai exceptional hospitality made the stay truly special. Comfortable, clean, and culturally rich, it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable Kashmiri getaway.

House boat was very good and clean. Food was delicious and the services were good and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay in House boat. The staff Mr Altaf and asif was very attentive and helped aot in providing the services.

Wonderful stay. Sits right in the middle of the Dal lake. Thanks to Mr.Aasif bhai and sahil bhai for his hospitality. Home like food, readily available hot water, this place is a good choice of houseboat. If you are planning on going in a shikara, make sure to do it in the evening around sunset. The view of the city's night light reflecting on water is a blissful sight.

Places are accessible but they charges high for houseboat stay. Rooms are nearby. Some houseboats are on the land that's why u can't enjoy the lake view.
