Backyard Resort Srinagar

Our experience at Backyard Resort was truly fantastic. Both the hotel rooms and the service provided by their staff were of exceptional quality. The hotel room ambiance, in particular, stood out and greatly impressed us. When we asked for a campfire arrangement, the staff promptly fulfilled our request. The property exudes a remarkable sense of tranquility and charm, making it a delightful destination. I am certain that I will return for another stay and will enthusiastically recommend it to others. I must extend a special shoutout to Tasduck and Mohsin for the incredible hospitality they extended to us throughout our time here.

This is a very homely and cozy hotel located conveniently to all access points. The people here are very humble and hospitable. Rooms are of different sizes and clean with spacious washrooms. They are also continuously striving to upgrade themselves but overall a very warm and cozy environment to relax in. Their Manager, Jamsheed is very accommodating and experienced in handling guests and the employees.

Great Resort. Not Claustrophobic at all. Very spacious. Inbuilt heater in bed. Just one charging port though. U can unplug the kettle and get yourselves an extra. Hot water available. Campfire service provided. Food is excellent.

A heritage property where you will feel like you are staying at home. Royal rooms, huge washroom, good parking space and very clean. Staff is very nice and cooperative. Food is delicious in the resort restaurant. Away from busy streets of Srinagar. 15 mins ride away from Dal lake and other parks. Would like to stay again here in our next visit.

Worst experience ever...Rooms were untidy, food taste and quality is pathetic. We stayed there for 3 days which was booked very much in advance even then they had no arrangements done. We checked in Eve and were way too tired cause of long travelling but the dinner was served at 10 pm after continuous follow ups. Felt like they jus forgot to prepare the dinner as when asked at 8.30 they said it will take 10 mins but took 1.5 hrs. The taste was horrible so we complained and they said there main cook is out of town. On other 2 days too they served dinner after 9.30 with no options but fixed menu for all 3 days. After full day sightseeing we used to be tired but had to wait atleast an hour after reaching the hotel for dinner. In breakfast also they didn't provide any option. On 3rd day they jus gave bread butter. On complaining they said there main cook is unwell. As the bookings were done in advance this should have been taken care off.. No option to order other than prepared food. Felt like staying in a hostel and no where it is resort. The garden n open area is not at all maintained.

We discovered this lovely home by chance during a city walk. Highly recommended. Me and my friend walked looking for a better place to stay and stumbled upon backyard resort, by chance ! The beautiful driveway adorned with flowers leads to a spacious and well maintained house. Hikim (owner) and Muhassim (reception host) offered us to visit the property. We liked a lot the furnishing and the quietness of the house, although very near to the centeral avenues. Hakim made us a good offer and we stayed three nights and had the best experience in Srinagar. The Backyard resort staff are gentlemen: friendly and genuinely caring for our confort. In particular I thank Muhassin, Irfan and Hakim himself. They took me on different occasions through the city to assist me in finding a tailor, a watch repair shop or just for the enjoyment of a walk. These moments where a great opportunity to get to know each other more personally. Muhassin is a kind person who was always available to assist me and my friend. Moreover, we shared many casual conversations throughout the days (ask him about his writings). Definitely a place to stay again on a next visit.

Rooms are very good, clean and nice. Muhssin Pz Receptionist provided a good hospitality services plus food is prepared by Altaf & Ahsan (cook) was also delicious. Must stay resort for Srinagar.

Beautiful place, highly recommend. The warm hospitality is much appreciated, mauhassin at the reception is very friendly and takes good care and the irfan(chef) who cooks delicious homely food. Absolutely satisfied.
