Property is old but management is very very good. Clean rooms, everything available required for stays for company visitors. Food inside the hotel is very good. All the best.. if possible, pls go for small retrofit work for washrooms otherwise good property to stay.

Good rooms to stay and satisfactory food.

Although Samba is a small town with limited hotel options, this particular establishment is a pleasant surprise. Despite not being classified as a luxury hotel, it certainly doesn't disappoint.

The menu kept in the room has a lot of options but I guess half of them their chef can't make. The person who took our order over phone doesn't even know English and hence mistook our order. Instead of scrambled eggs and even after repeating it 3-4 times, he brought sandwich and then asked us to pay for it as their chef refused to cancel the order once made. Later he said eggs are there but scrambled eggs can't be made as it requires quite a lot of spices which we don't have at present, which was kind of funny to us because I haven't heard of such special spices which go into scrambled eggs. Even after having mentioned in the menu, they refused to give any form of egg(poached, scrambled) except boiled. 130 bucks for 2 boiled eggs is unreasonable. When we again mentioned to give us 'egg bhurji' then they sent. Also the bread toast wasn't done in a proper toaster, it was done directly on flame, not even on a pan. It was horrible and extremely chewy & dry. Rest the rooms are big & clean. But on the expensive side. Staff is polite except the one who served us the breakfast. I am not sure it'll be my choice the next time.

Decent location while going towards Jammu or Udhampur. Location is good and the rooms are beautiful in all respect. We didn't order any food here so service related markings could not be made.

Visited this Hotel 2times while my road trip to Kashmir & Ladakh . the location is very nice and the hospitality of the staffs is amazing. Room quality to food quality is in top class. such a lovely memory at Hotel Rex. Would love to stay again in near future.

Overall a good place to have meals bar is available. Paking is sufficient and there is also pool . Food quality is good . And food come in higher price range. There is also marriage hall for small parties.
