Lidder Front Resort

The stay is quite good but there are a few areas which can be improved for sure: 1. This is not a resort, it is a homestay / BnB. The rooms are clean with ample space and facilities. 2. Consistent power supply (I understand that this area has problems with power supply but the boys are not proactive in managing the situation. I had to call them each time to turn on the switch from main control whenever I wanted to use the kettle) 3. The food served was not coordinated with us as guests and breakfast was below par. Ready mix packets taste better than the Poha & Upma that was served to us. Dinner was served way too early despite informing them that we had heavy snacks / late lunch. The dal & rice was under cooked which caused digestion related problems. 4. Hospitality - the boys can be more proactive and engaging. It felt like they were just tired of doing their jobs and did not want guests coming to the property. The place is nice, but some issues have to be fixed to make it a seamless experience for the guests.

Imagine this! A quaint countryside cottage overlooking a lush green garden, a tiny single-lane road and the magnificent Lidder river! Yeah! That's what Lidder Front Resort by Stay Pattern is. Beautiful rooms, picturesque location & two incredibly great hosts - Talib and Sahil. You can choose to chill in the warm cosy house, in the lawn or by the riverside. My husband and I grabbed a few bedsheets and just lay by the riverside the entire night! It was pure bliss. Talib will cook you a very homely meal and Sahil will help you out with whatever you want! They made us some delicious barbecue and we chatted with them till late in the night! So much fun! These boys are gems, and this place is an unadulterated piece of heaven. The flowing river is the most beautiful sound to wake up to. This, by far, was the friendliest & cleanest stay in Kashmir. If you are a group of 6 or more, just book the entire cottage (3 rooms). I totally recommend Lidder Front Resort!

Just a short stroll away, I found myself enchanted by the soothing sounds of the flowing water, which made for a perfect backdrop for morning coffee on the porch. The surrounding scenery is simply breathtaking, with lush greenery, majestic mountains, and the tranquil river creating a picture-perfect postcard setting. Interior and Amenities: Upon entering the cottage, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting ambiance. The open-plan living area is cozy and well-furnished, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The three bedrooms are spacious, each featuring comfortable beds and ample storage space. The decor reflects local craftsmanship, with wooden accents and traditional artwork that enhances the overall aesthetic. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals during my stay. A spacious dining area allows for enjoyable family meals, while the living room provides a cozy space to relax in the evenings. Additionally, the cottage features essential amenities like Wi-Fi, hot water, and heating, ensuring a comfortable stay no matter the season. Outdoor Experience: One of the highlights of this cottage is the outdoor space. The garden area is well-maintained, providing a peaceful retreat where I could relax with a good book or simply soak in the beauty of nature. There's also a fire pit, and a fish pond , a beautiful swing perfect for evening gatherings under the stars.
