The Chamba Resort and Camps

The resort location is very far inside Nubra valley in the Hunder region. The total population is very small in Nubra valley with very minimal facilities to the people. The resort is great and nicely maintained. All of the staffs are very good and cordial. We were welcomed with great warmth and evening snacks were served very quickly on request. The resort is situated beside an old monastery and thus this resort's restaurant is pure veg. Food was great and served hot...plates and bowls were clean and seating arrangement was also nice with colorful decorations around. The ambiance is very nice, and the scenery is really worth mentioning. The rooms were also in very good condition electric blanket was there...toilet was clean and tidy. The resort has Wi-Fi as well. Hot water facility is also there through solar heating, so it takes a long-time to get hot water in the bathroom. You can get hot water from the restaurant on request for drinking purpose. There are many trees and seasonal flowers inside the resort. There is a very narrow stream of milky white water flowing and the one can enjoy the gushing sound of the water piercing the silence of the night while observing the night sky full of millions, literally millions of stars. Few things to remember Power will only be available from 7 am till 11 pm so, electric blanket is of no use, pack your own thermals. This resort serves veg food and no good restaurants are nearby. The locals are very humble and helpful, so don't hesitate to ask for help. Oxygen level is fine in Nubra valley but due to cold one might feel shortness of breath, Drink a lot of water and fruits. Don't miss opportunity to look up to the sky of uncountable stars. Overall, the stay was very good with great food and great service.
