Hotel Gulmarg Inn

While some of the staff were kind and helpful, my overall experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The rooms were small and not properly cleaned--chair cushions were dirty, and bed sheets were not changed daily. The heater didn't work throughout the day, and despite multiple requests, it was rarely switched on. The owner, in particular, was extremely rude, making even basic requests feel like a huge favor. What was most concerning was the lack of privacy--staff would knock loudly and sometimes barge into the room, which felt very unsafe. The food was just okay, but considering the high room rates, the overall experience was not worth it. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I had an exceptional stay at Gulmarg Inn! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth. My room was spotless and equipped with thoughtful amenities. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, making my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

Terrible Experience at Gulmarg Inn - Avoid at All Costs! We recently booked a stay at Gulmarg Inn, expecting a pleasant experience, but it turned out to be one of the worst travel decisions we've made. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property is in desperate need of renovation and better management. Despite charging exorbitant rates comparable to premium hotels, the facilities and ambiance were more reminiscent of the 1970s, with no signs of modernization or upkeep. The rooms were shockingly unkempt and unhygienic. To our horror, we found cigarette butts in the room - a huge red flag, especially when traveling with children. It was obvious that the housekeeping standards were abysmal, and the management didn't prioritize cleanliness or guest comfort. Feeling thoroughly disappointed, we decided to check out early as the conditions were far below acceptable. However, the hotel insisted on charging 50% of the total booking amount, citing their advance booking policy. While we understand the need for policies, charging such a significant amount when the property didn't deliver on basic expectations felt completely unjustified. For the price they demand, you would expect a certain level of service, comfort, and hospitality, none of which Gulmarg Inn provided. The overall experience was disappointing and frustrating, and we felt cheated out of our money. Key Issues We Faced: Outdated rooms with no maintenance. Unhygienic conditions (cigarette butts in the room). Overpriced stay with no value for money. Unreasonable cancellation charges despite the poor quality of the property. We strongly urge other travelers to avoid Gulmarg Inn unless they make significant improvements to their facilities and policies. There are far better options available in Gulmarg that offer better service, cleanliness, and value for money. Don't fall into the trap of advance bookings here - it's not worth the risk or the expense.

Very bad choice. Very bad in services. They bluntly talk with clients. Also they put down service phones aside for not talking with customers. The bedsheet and blanket cover did not wash, it smells very badly. Room heater and hot water is available only for a limited time. If you need hot water they didn't provide that. They really just ignore the customer, literally they earn the money they don't want customers.

The rooms are well heated, there is 24/7 hot water, The breakfast and dinner is delicious, their basics are perfect The housekeeping is understaffed , in 5 days our bed sheets weren't changed even once , the towels were replaced only once

Rooms are not good at all. We opted for premium package but rooms what we have received not at all a deluxe..no proper heating facility...it's a very old hotel I felt. No kettle But service was good..we asked them to change the room next day they have changed the room. Food was not so good..soup was good..

My stay at Gulmarg Inn was outstanding! The staff was warm and attentive, the room was spotless and cozy, and the dining options were delightful. The serene location and top-notch facilities made it a truly memorable experience. I can't wait to return!
