Jamaica Inn

The slogan at Jamaica Inn is "Welcome home" and that really is what it's all about. Everyone there was positive, seemed happy and went out of their way to make sure our stay was as good as possible The owner - same family for 65 years - asked us several times how things were going, greeting us after breakfast and seeing him around the property. ||My wife and I stayed on a room that opened directly on the beach. Everyone was friendly and all the guests seemed relaxed and in great moods. Food was outstanding. We ate three meals a day - didn't make the afternoon tea - and tried the terrace restaurant, the beach restaurant, enjoyed the weekly major buffet on the beach and had room service out on our lanai the last evening to eat a bit early to accommodate an early departure at the end of our stay. All were terrific.|| The resort's small resident band (combo - guitar, keyboard, drums and soloist) plays at dinner on the terrace and adds to the atmosphere. When we were there the weather forecast kept saying 50-70% chance of rain but we felt a few raindrops only on a couple occasions. The one rain we did have in the week we were there happened in the hours after midnight but well before dawn - no interference with our vacation at all. It was sunny just about all the time with occasional small clouds that helped as well. ||There were lots of lounges on the beach by and under wooden permanent beach umbrellas and staff from the beach bar came by periodically to see if you wanted for anything. ||There's what seems a natural breakwater so the water is very calm. The room was quite comfortable and yes the pillows were fluffy. The room was a nice size and the lanai or terrace of our beach room was of a perfect size with a refrigerator, a desk, a couch and a couple easy chairs and still room for a small table and two chairs to enjoy room service out overlooking the beach and the Caribbean. The bathroom is well appointed with bath/shower and extra room - quite utile.||And, most tellingly, a number of the guests were repeat customers - a good measure of the quality of a place. Expect we will be among them in the future - my wife says it was the most relaxing vacation she's ever had.

We just returned from 1 week at the Jamaica Inn. The staff here are really exceptional. The beach is very beautiful and well maintained, the food was also good. We have been to Jamaica many times, but the Jamaica Inn was the best experience. There are no TV's in the rooms and no loud music, just a totally relaxed atmosphere. This is a mostly older clientele and we would recommend staying here, we look forward to returning.

We didn't sunset couples massage.|Everything was glorious. Loved the scenery and the set up. Enjoyed the ambiance immensely.|Ann and Danmeisha did an excellent job, we left feeling relaxed! |My only issue was the price! After tip 500$ is a bit steep and that would be the only con. In this economy probably wouldn't go back but once every two years or so. |Otherwise it was an excellent experience.

There is nothing like the Jamaica Inn. Quietly elegant, private, and a top notch staff who make you feel welcome every day. Where else do you go that you miss the staff when you leave? Christopher made sure that the four of us had a perfect spot on the very non-crowded beach, Ashaleene and Samantha kept us hydrated and seemed to know what we wanted before we did. Ashaleene was also a fun croquet teacher/partner! Patrick and William also made sure that we had our special requests granted. Sadie and Nodine kept our rooms more comfortable than home and included special unexpected details. George provided the most elegant and professional in room lunches and dinners. This was our third visit in 17 years and we will be back next year. Don't change a thing!

The grounds are beautiful. The service is top-notch. The rooms with very spacious verandas are lovely and perfect for an island location. The food was always delicious and fresh. The charm remains the same for over 70 years. We can't wait to return!

Dear Gilbert and to all staff||Thank you for enabling me to rest unwind and feel refreshed throughout my stay as I now prepare to make my way home. ||The service in all departments including the music added to a most enjoyable rested vacation. ||The general ambiance of the hotel was quintessentially English in my humble opinion and a real pleasure. I enjoyed the concept of high tea at 4pm with sandwiches and cake. The hotel is well maintained and all staff were friendly, courteous and wanting to help make my stay truly enjoyable. It felt like witnessing a family team at work all pulling together for the end goal 'happy guests'.||I truly loved playing the piano after breakfast where I was lost in my world of music. I had fun singing with the band and dancing with guest and staff to the song Dancing Queen by ABBA. ||This rejuvenated woman is ready for the hustle and bustle of city life in London.

Marcia the receptionist is a wonderful welcome to the spa and is so kind with the best smile. Kenneth's facials and massages are the best rejuvenating experiences you can ask for especially on vacation. Absolutely marvelous experience that felt magical in every way.

From the moment you arrive, the warm and courteous staff, including Marcia, go above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. The Ocean Spa is an absolute gem, tucked away in a serene garden setting. The soothing ocean breeze enhances the experience as the talented masseuse, Azeeza, works wonders, leaving you completely relaxed and free of tension. Truly an unforgettable experience!
