A very relaxing, quiet resort is exactly what my husband & I wanted. The staff at Zoetry is amazing! The food was pretty good but limited GF options if you have dietary restrictions. The staff did always find me something to eat which was really appreciated. Beach was pretty but very small and I highly advise swim shoes. It was a nice resort but we prefer the Zoetry in Punta Cana.

I am highly disappointed with our stay at Zoetry Montego Bay and I greatly regret using these few days of vacation that I receive to spend here!! ||||If I could give this resort a 0-star rating I would. I am beyond perplexed on how this resort is identified as Category D/5-Star.||||First, the room that we were placed in was not fully clean! There were thick spider webs in a couple corners of the room. In one corner there was even a live spider still sitting in the web (nickel sized spider - zoomed in photo below). I notified our butler as soon as I saw it and it took hours to finally get it addressed. ||||The bed was absolutely uncomfortable, the pillows were horrible and neither myself or my husband got good sleep while staying at this location. I was immensely happy that we were only there for 2 nights!!!||||While the customer service is good, the restaurants were not! The food was dry and flavorless. The dinner we had tasted like water no matter what we ate. We ended up giving up on the dinner provided and going back to our room and sleeping hungry. Rick's Cafe was amazing tho (had to go 2-hours away to get good food smh). I'm sure there is good food closer, Negril was just one of our stops on our full-day excursion.||||I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!
I'd like to start by saying the staff individually are wonderful people however this was the worst vacation my husband and I have ever been on. We don't travel often but we saved up for a while to take this trip. We paid extra to stay at the 'wellness' hotel of the Hyatt Jamaica sisters but we left 20x less 'well' than when we arrived. I have never been so let down. Everything we planned to do was cancelled at the last minute and we were never informed ahead of time so that we could make other plans. They had a schedule posted outside of the lobby and maybe two of the 15 events posted happened (both required extra payment, shocker). Yoga was honestly the only thing I enjoyed. After a few days we could tell that the hotel used to be great until it was bought by Hyatt. For example they still had covid signs everywhere requiring social distancing and how to wash your hands. They really need new management. I'm leaving out a lot but honestly I can't keep dwelling on it. I just want my money back. OH there was also a promise on the website that you could take a boat ride to any of the other sister hotels so there was a total of 13 restaurants to choose from- that was false. You had to attend a time share event if you wanted to go off property and it was a min 45 car ride, no boat. So we were stuck with the one restaurant open a night. Basically the same menu every night- not what I consider an all inclusive. The 24/7 butler is also a joke. They worked maybe 3-4 hours a day and didn't assist with anything. For example we tried to get room service and they would say call the front desk and then the front desk (once they finally picked up) would say contact your butler. We had 3 different guys over the week and never knew if they were working or which guy we should contact. Overall I just think it was unmet expectations and again it wasn't the staff's fault. It's definitely a Hyatt problem and extreme miscommunication.
The hotel must be under a different management. The service really needs to be improved. We booked two rooms for seven nights and despite calling multiple times and even having our concierge call to request a ground room, they assigned our 70+ years old parents on the third floor in a building without an elevator. It was a struggle for them to the point that they have to move them to a ground floor. Service is very poor. We ordered drinks for dinner but end up eating dinner without getting our drinks and end up getting drinks for ourselves at the bar. They brought us a wrong order and instead of making a new dish, they took the fish off and placed chicken on it so, the dish still had fish smell. Compared to other places we have been and with globalist status, the service was surely a let down. Mind you, we had 2 butlers for the 2 rooms booked. Most of the time pool and beach side services was very much delayed. The last 4 days, we had the same server, Kenniesha, for dinner and she was phenomenal. The food was nothing to write home about.
I'll start by saying the staff is amazing. Very welcoming and very attentive. The rooms are nice and spacious. It was a relaxing time. ||If you're looking for a lot of activities or a livelier experience than this is not the place. |A few cons is that I ordered room service twice and the food never showed up. And the food is average.
Not a whole lot to say. This is a very small "all inclusive" that offers basic amenities and average-to-very-poor service. The beach is very small, and for the four days I was here, I didn't see a single person in the water. The reason? It's in a small cove that is separated from the main ocean beach by a sandbar. The water isn't very clear, and definitely not inviting. So if you are looking for a beach vacation, this isn't it. Food is... Basic... Unpredictable... And very slow to be served. Room Service is terrible, and everyone in our group had the same experience. Order a basic pizza, and 2 hours later nothing. Want a cup of coffee and a pastry? Good luck. In fact, not a single person in our group of 7 ever received a room service order. The front desk just shrugs. One day I returned to my room, bed was made, but no pillow cases or towels. I went to the front desk, explained the situation, and they asked "so what do you want?" I was baffled. Pillow cases and towels? Three hours later someone showed up with wash cloths. The restaurant menu (of which there is really only one restaurant...the other two are just a shack and a lunch station) is very basic and no custom options. Service was very slow, orders were wrong, and servers often very confused. I cannot recommend this property, and am surprised it is under the Hyatt portfolio. As a World of Hyatt Explorist (which was never acknowledged) I received no extra perks or benefits. Late Checkout was denied. The property has potential, but needs ownership and management who actually care, and understand traveler's basic expectations for an all inclusive vacation resort.
Zoetry Montego Bay Jamaica offered a serene escape, but service fell short. My Junior Suite was stunning and cozy, with a beautiful pool-and-ocean view from the balcony--perfect for relaxation. The staff were kind and pleasant, adding warmth to the stay. However, with renovations and only a few dozen guests, the ample staff didn't deliver. No one offered drinks or food poolside, breakfast opened 10 minutes late at 7:00 AM with coffee served after my meal, and at dinner, I waited for a table as dirty dishes cluttered empty ones. The peaceful vibe and lovely room were overshadowed by these lapses.
The resort itself is beautiful. If you are looking somewhere to enjoy a quiet getaway this is the place. However, there is absolutely no entertainment or music. We asked for some music and they told us no. The service was terrible. There were times that the room service didn't show up and when we asked our butlers or just anyone working on the resort for something, most of the time they never got back to us. Also, most stuff wasn't included. Many things you had to pay for. I'm not one to complain, but if you pay this much money for an all inclusive resort you should have top notch service and great food. Neither of those happened.
