Hotel Riu Palace Jamaica

Well what can I say this hotel is amazing I really worried about going after reading some reviews but i didn't need to worry as this hotel.is very beautiful, the staff are what make this place so welcoming they always took time to ask about your day. The entertainment staff do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay always made time to speak with us, getting everyone involved in the activities. The pools, rooms and restaurant was very clean. The fridge was always full of different types of drinks the room was very spacious. With a bath and shower separated toilet the bed was very comfy. The evening entertainment was great always fun to watch the atmosphere was great. We met some amazing people who also made this holiday great. The food was always hot and presented very nice salad was fresh daily and for a very fussy person i always found something to eat. When people mentioned The noise of a evening i was a bit concerned but again the planes didnt bother us as couldnt hear them when im my room and the only noise is when people was going to their rooms. The only negative I have is if you lost your band you had to pay PS250 dollars which is a lot of money considering how much you pay to go to this hotel. Really didn't understand the cost.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. The staff is extremely nice! Absolutely amazing people! Every single person that walks by you, always greets you and is always in a happy mood and always willing to help. Such a pleasant experience! The food is wonderful with so much variety from breakfast to dinner. The room was always cleaned nicely by housekeeping. The bathrooms all over the hotel were always very clean! The hotel in general is very clean and the staff is always on top of everything. The staff is constantly making sure the guests are good and that the hotel looks good. You have access to the other 2 hotels which is also a big plus! I would stay at this hotel again for sure! Absolutely wonderful experience!

Been twice before so thought it would be great to bring the family, we can use the facilities in the other 2 hotels so there would be plenty for us all to do. ||Good points: ||The Palace is by far the best. Bedrooms spacious and clean, housekeeping do a great job. ||Entertainment Team were FANTASTIC and kept all entertained, they definitely work hard (Astro, Genius, String Bean, Dinero and DJ Unstoppable). ||Lobby Bar was great for a pre dinner drink and Archer was on hand making cocktails for us.||Pool area clean and tidy and the bar staff out and about getting and delivering drinks was fab.||The Not So Good - we were a late arrival (2345hrs) and the night receptionist was not that helpful, meaning we had to return the following morning!||The APP and Restaurant bookings, very hard to get a table and the speciality restaurants not open every night. As we were in the Palace we could use the other 2 hotel's restaurants BUT couldn't book them on the app and if you just turned up they said they were full so ended up in the buffet, again! Out of a 14 night stay, we were only able to dine in the speciality restaurants once!||Only some of the Restaurant staff were friendly and cheerful, the majority were not and gave the impression you were putting them out.||All said we had a great time. Perhaps won't be going back to Jamaica but would consider a RIU hotel again.

We visited the hotel last year and enjoyed it a lot we decided to re visit . We had a courtyard room which was clean . We did have a couple of issues which were rectified promptly . As many others have said the rooms need updating. We visited the steak house and the Asian restaurant, unfortunately we found the service in the Asian wasn't great and one of my husband's plates of food arrived cold . We preferred the buffet which offered a great selection of foods for all meals . Audley looked after us at lunch and breakfast , biggie at dinner both were great and very attentive. The main lobby bar was very good and Archer is a great character and makes the best chocolate martinis . Loved the live reggae bands and the white party . The staff are what makes this hotel great everyone is very friendly and polite . I would definitely recommend this hotel . A bonus it is so close to the airport.

Riu Palace offered us a wonderful stay with incredible service from all members of their staff, everyone is very friendly and eager to assist any guest. The hotel is very well maintained and the amenities are lovely. Rooms could need a bit of renovation, however they are still nice for this resort. Overall the stay here is amazing and it is definitely someplace i'd come back to.

The traveling to and from the resort was super easy as it was close to the airport. The resort was nice, rooms were clean. A few small maintenance items (sink wouldn't drain), but other than that it was great. The bartending staff, especially Lamar at the 24/7 bar, and Winston at the pool bar were amazing! The food was good, the buffet got repetitive after a whole week, and the Italian restaurant wasn't that great but everything else was great. Drinks were good, entertainment was good as well. We would definitely book here again, great value for the money.

The service is great at the hotel. The staff were great. My issue was the restaurant availability. It's all inclusive, but you have to reserve a place to eat dinner or it's buffet food. Stood here with my wife and two other couples, and we were never able to book a reservation at any of the restaurants. Literally ate at KFC 2x for dinner because the reservations were all booked. We even checked for our entire stay when arrived and no chance. Never got to experience the hotels full potential. Breakfast and lunch were amazing at the buffet but to have a sit down dinner never happened. There are two sister hotels and the restaurants are also appear to available to the other hotels and there isn't enough availability. Honestly, as much as I like the staff and service, I don't think I would do it again and stay here. What is the point of all inclusive benefits if you can't provide the full experience for your guest because there isn't enough restaurants to accommodate. To say the least I was very disappointed.

The overall hotel was nice and the people that worked there were amazing. The hotel could do with some updating and note that this resort is small (although you do have access to the over sister hotels). We were given a room that was on the side of the hotel and unfortunately we had bins directly below our balcony so the smell wasn't great however we were happily moved with no concerns. You know exactly what you get when you stay at a riu, and this is no exception.||
