We took a group of six people on a Himalayan tour that included six hotels, and Divine Hima was unquestionably the favorite for everyone. It was also our first stop and we stayed for four nights, so it was the perfect starting point especially for the group members visiting India for the first time. Given the busy traditional village life surrounding the hotel, it is a wonderful surprise to be transported to a different world from the moment you step over the entrance threshold. The design and atmosphere are unexpected; uniquely enchanting and rich with remnants of Himalayan memorabilia and memories collected over the years by the artist/photographer/poet owner, Sanjay. Sanjay himself is a walking vibe of tranquility and welcome. He and his dear family and staff are engaging and curious without crossing the line into over-familiarity or interference. We were very well taken care of by everyone not just logistically but in spirit as well. The rooms were spacious and well appointed; we had five rooms, all with balconies, and all were unique and lovely. The food was excellent; the dosas, vegetarian spring rolls, tomato soup and kinnow juice were group faves but we enjoyed every dish we tried from the extensive (and again, enchanting) menu. Lastly, the location was fantastic. The packed little village of Sidhpur is a colorful blend of cultures and faiths -- Buddhist, Tibetan, Indian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian -- and classically chaotic with traffic, vendors, and visitors to Norbulingka Institute and various nearby temples. But the Divine Hima is tucked magically, peacefully, into the middle of all of it. It is also close enough to Dharamsala and major throughways to other Himalayan hotspots to be a perfect base for day trips to explore the area and return to a nice cocktail or lemon soda on the rooftop terrace to gaze head-on at the beautiful mountains.

We were at the Divine Hima for a week for our company offsite. Such a fantastic experience overall - great location, clean and comfortable rooms, great food - esp the Himachali dishes. A few of us had food restrictions - and they tweaked the menu to accommodate all our needs. And of course, their pickles (you can see 40 varieties - no kidding!) are just out of the world. We overate just to get more of the pickles in... Personalized and good service too! Priced reasonably so it was great value too! Highly recommend!

Had a lovely lunch at The Divine Hima. Ordered some Tibetan food Himachali Thali. Amazing it was. Lots of options for food. The property is hidden and very well designed and we enjoyed the afternoon there.

Overall, this property seamlessly blends art, luxury, and functionality, creating an almost perfect experience. Anyone visiting can enjoy a delightful fusion of art and geology, adding depth to their time spent here. The staff are cordial and well-mannered, enhancing the overall ambiance. Additionally, the food is excellent as we had only lunch here , adding to the memorable experience. However, a minor setback is the limited parking space and the approach to the property.

This property blends art, luxury and functionality to near perfection. If you are into art and geology then this place should be on your list of destinations even if you are not staying here. The staff were cordial and well-mannered. The food was decent. They have a collection of various condiments which they sell too. Should try their hottest chilli mix (is not for sale though). A minor issue with this property is parking space and the approach.
