Stayed at Quartz Himalayan Brothers in April 2025. Such a lovely place to stay in Dharamshala. Not too far from the city center, but still offers you the sub-urban calm. The staff was friendly and the food served was great. The thing I liked the most was the view of snow-clad mountains visible from everywhere in this hotel. Horrible Experience -- Zero Empathy and No Refund Even During a National Emergency! We had the absolute worst experience with The Quartz Himalayan Brothersz in Dharamshala. We booked two rooms via MakeMyTrip (MMT) for approx. 14,000, and requested cancellation 72 hours before check-in due to the escalating Indo-Pak tensions and a war-like situation in the region. Flights to both Chandigarh and Dharamshala were cancelled due to airspace restrictions, yet the hotel staff showed zero empathy and outright refused a refund. We explained our emergency situation multiple times. This wasn't a change of plan--it was a national crisis. But the hotel was cold, rude, and downright unprofessional. One of their attendants had the audacity to cut our call mid-conversation, and later blocked or call-forwarded our number to avoid any accountability. Despite repeated follow-ups for three days, they kept giving vague responses and finally offered only a six-month credit note--something we never agreed to or wanted. In such uncertain times, when safety is a concern and future travel is unpredictable, this "solution" is absolutely useless. We requested a full refund in good faith, but both the hotel and MMT failed us. What do they want? Should we risk our lives and travel in a near-war situation just so they can keep our money? It's disgusting that a business would operate with no compassion and zero customer support, even in the rarest of rare emergency situations. Don't be fooled by their fake reviews or polished images online. We were, and now we've lost our hard-earned money. If you're thinking of booking here--DON'T. There are better, more humane properties in Dharamshala. Avoid this place at all costs. For a business to lack basic human decency in the face of national emergencies is shameful. We'll never recommend this hotel to anyone. If we had the option a zero star review would also be more for these people with no empathy whatsoever.

I generally avoid posting negative reviews, but this experience warrants it. Rude staff, no transparency, and zero concern for customer satisfaction.The hotel blocked communication instead of helping -- completely unprofessional. Avoid this place if you value peace of mind.

I stayed at Quartz Himalayan Brothers with my friends, and it was an amazing experience! The hotel is one of the best located hotels in dharamsala, it's just about 4 km outside of dharamsala.| The receptionist always went out of his way to help us. Restaurant service and food was really great with a wide range of different varieties of food. The garden was really lovely. |Thanks once again for making our stay wonderful, I will definitely visit again.

Good ambience, nice views and scenic beauty, balcony view in every room, and very aesthetic. However the food quality is average with less variety and spread. Some basic room facilities not working and got replaced post informing the staff. The shower don't have continues supply of hot/warm water and need to wait for geysers to warm the water, adding to wait time. Frequent power outages for few seconds and then need to reply on alternative power supply/ generators. Hotel staff is supportive and decent.

Amazing locality, views, food. Totally worth it. Staff was also very sweet and good. Highly recommended without any second thought.
