Hotel Victory

Location is perfect. Closer to mall road. GYAN CHAND JI is extremely humble and always service with smile. All the staff, like the person on reception desk. I don't know their names but they are really helpful. Super deluxe room mattress is extremely bad. Few improvements they need to do. Like cleaning the window of the view room. Other than that, it was a okay stay.

Hotel The Victory in Srinagar is generally well-received for its comfortable and spacious rooms, with some reviewers specifically mentioning the premium deluxe rooms. While the location may not be in the heart of the main market, it's still considered convenient, and transportation like autos is readily available.

Bad experience with booking.com. Booked on booking for 3 days to pay in the hotel. Hotel sent a message inside booking to pre-pay during peak season, booking interface is not so good. Still showed it is reserved. When reached the hotel they didn't have any valley view room. The rooms on the other side is claustrophobic. Opening the window lets in flies, mosquitoes and what not. The owner tried to upsell those rooms saying peak tourist season. We found better rooms, better price in BRIGHTLAND Hotel, just a few steps from Hotel Victory.

The hotel is just next to victory tunnel, the non view rooms are very congested and small and suffocating. Hotel staff is not so well trained and would interrupt you in between when you are speaking to reception guy which is so unprofessional. It does not have direct access to Mall Road but you have to walk from an alley over a drain and then a steep climb which is very difficult for mid/ senior persons. The price is higher with such rooms and facilities where as there are better hotels with good rooms and access to mall. The food was average.

No heater for the room. However you can hire a small useless bar one for 300 rupees per night. For a city where it's very cold, found this pathetic. When we told them we were checking out after the first night coz it was freezing, they did bring us a heater free of charge. |Bed was rock hard and pillows uncomfortable. No hot water. Apparently you get it at 7 in the morning but at 9AM we still did not have hot water. Was told to have a bucket shower by boiling the water. Seems the hot water gets turned off in the afternoon. Again pathetic for a freezing city.|There is a restaurant on site but not really staffed. We did order some dinner and the food was actually tasty and reasonably priced.|Noisy as staff shouts and talk loud when everyone is in bed. No consideration for guests who are trying to sleep.|It's not a 3* so don't be fooled. Check in next door at the Cedar Grand instead. That's better value and a much nicer hotel. (which is what we did)|The only thing it has going for itself, is the view.

Was a good stay at Victory hotel . Staff was cooperative and helpful. Room service was aslo good and quick . Roshan lal Ji served us a good service a we are satisfied with the services they provided. Food was good and was served quick by Roshan lal Ji . But the location is lil bit away from mall road by walking . Other than that everything was awesome. View from the hotel rooms was pretty.

Receptionist behavior was rude..I was traveling with family but the behavior of receptionist was especially not acceptable at all.room service waiter was comparatively far better.. Odonil zipper was not available in the bathroom..bathroom was smelling bad and when I asked for odonil zipper they provided odonil air perfume... Room was ok ok but some fall ceiling light was not working and also call bell was not available in my room...the hotel also doesn't have generator/ inverter for electricity backup..at night during power cut only one bulb was on in my room.this is not acceptable at all..I stayed in this hotel on 16th and 17th April 2025

One of the worst experience ever Rude staff and rude behaviour. Rude behaviour can be tolerated if I go with friends, but i was with family and paid money in advance how should I tolerate such bad way of talking. Also they asked for more money during checkout and kept on arguing, they don't have parking space. For us we have parked 1.2km away from the hotel. I will never recommend it to anyone.
