Hotel Springfields

Tucked away in a cul de sac in chotta shimla this is a small heritage palace turned hotel. If you are looking for five star comfort this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for peaceful serene surroundings slightly old fashioned and homely with friendly staff then this should be your choice. Food is good especially the pakoras and fish fry. A special mention for Sunny Manish Jagdish and Mr Manoj for making our stay wonderful.

The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, and the views are breathtaking. The view add extra charm, and the location is ideal for both relaxation and exploring the area. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

An unchanged Shimla house full of atmosphere with great views. The cooking was exceptional particularly everything from the tandoor. The decor looks dated in the very best way and I hope it never changes. |Here are random words to make up the necessary 200

Hotel very tired and in serious need of updating. We were the only ones there and it almost felt abandoned. Location not great either, long uphill walk to the Mall (more like 50 mins rather than the 20 mins described) Only redeeming factor is the amazing view from the garden. Unfortunately by far the worst hotel so far on our trip around India.

This place is fantastic with great mountain view, garden and well-kept backyard.|our stay has been highly comfortable, food was good courteous service people.|Owner My Manoj has been extremely helpful and always been ready to deliver more than promised.|The Shimla Mall from the property is a nice and easy walk (quick cabs are also available from the hotel itself).||We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Springfields.

Hotel is in need of a deep clean. Lots of monkeys in the gardens, whilst monkeys are common in shimla there were more in the Springfield garden than anywhere else, even the owner has said he has been bitten and his family have been. Staff were dishonest about booking a taxi and put us in a random car which wasn't a taxi. We shortened our stay here.

I stayed for one night here with my family. The property is very beautiful and has a captivating valley view from its garden. Mall road is accessible from this property via taxi or your own vehicle. Their lounge space is tastefully decorated and has a heritage feel to it. All in all a good property and would love to stay here again.

WORST hotel!! DO NOT book with them!! Their reception and their owner/manager have 0 communication and created a mess out of simple booking! When we first called, the reception quoted us a price, to which the owner completely declined and said it's a mistake! Manoj (owner/manager) was completely stuck on booking with him directly and paying him SO HE CAN GET ALL THE MONEY in his pocket - while the reception said we can go ahead and book online, yet Manoj made sure to make up stories by saying even if you book online, we'll deny the booking. Every-time you call the reception, there is some new guy pretending that he doesn't know who we had a word with, and MANOJ has an intention which is purely to cheat and hoard money! Just the booking process with them has been so frustrating and feeling like they just want to cheat you into more money, makes me feel it's better to STAY AWAY from this property for good.
