Bhramara Orchard Retreat Homestay

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay at this picturesque Homestay on 14th and 15th Feb 2025. We were the only guests and had the entire resort to ourselves as the property had not reopened after the winter break. In fact, Mr Chauhan, the owner had specially opened early to accommodate us as our dates were not flexible. The room and toilet were spacious and had all necessary amenities with crisp, clean linen, a very comfortable large double bed and a great view from the balcony. The overall ambience, design and quality of construction in this remote area were excellent. Mrs Chauhan cooked all the delicious meals while her 74 years old husband served us personally as the staff had not returned from the winter break. Her piping hot Adrak Chai was our hot favourite and we enjoyed endless cups of it at all possible opportunities. The 40 minute drive from Kharapathhar on NH 705 to the resort is truly awesome through majestic deodar forests and a narrow but lovely country road. The only fly in the ointment is the last 1.5 Km which is presently a bumpy and kachha tract. The final 150 mts approach to the resort is best avoided and one should park one's vehicle at the roadside below. Would also recommend that first time visitors shouldn't rely on Google Maps alone and seek live telephonic directions from Mr Chauhan who is ever available and helpful. Overall Bhramarak Orchard retreat is a truly magnificent getaway destination which we would love to keep visiting.

One of the best property in the isolated region of rue valley or power valley. This place is located near the town of rodu which is located in the city of Shimla is quite beautiful and one get is love with this place. One must visit this place while traveling towards shimla

This place came up when we searched for offbit yet family friendly property for our holidays at Himachal Pradesh. This is one of the best homestay for that purpose. We visited on full moon day and it was perfect. The hosts are very warm and hospitable and ensure that all the guests are taken care of very well. Owner Karamchand ji, despite being peculiar about certain things, tries to provide a good and memorable stay. Food is very good too.Overall, a very good experience.

Amidst stunning hills and surrounded by abundant foliage, this property offers a perfect haven for those seeking nature and tranquility. The site is just fascinating, as it provides panoramic sights of the nearby mountain tops as well as a serene environment that automatically soothes the soul. The rooms themselves have been designed with thoughtfulness, combining modern luxuries with an old-world charm. Every room has huge windows which frame some breathtaking hill views that allow the guests to wake up to lush green forests. Internally, it is well decorated creating a cozy atmosphere where one can relax after exploring the beautiful surroundings of this place. On the other hand, visitors may take calm strolls along woodland paths. From having morning coffee with a rising sun to staring at stars in a clear night sky each moment spent here feels like an idyllic escape from city buzzes and humdrums of life.

Property is good but very rude behaviour of the owner.They served us expire tea, coffee and sugar bags. When we complaint the owner said you should be thankful that we are serving you this, it was very rude. no menu card was there and no rate list. At the end they will charge whatever they feel like. They are charging you the five star hotel rates. There are no basic amenities, no soap in the bathroom and even there was no space for parking and the path to the Villa is very pathetic.

We have stayed here for 1 Night with twins kids & family during month of October of 2024.( It is 2.30 hr from Shimla ) ..... Let's have a Reality check instead of depending on Edited Version of Instagram: Merits / Advantages: 1) Superb Location at the top of a Hill with 360 degree panoramic view of Brall Village & Pabbar Valley.....Very peaceful too surrounded by greenery of Orchard..... 2) As it is located amid apple Orchard , it's Best Time to Visit during July to September when Apple farming & Harvesting season work in full swing..... But We were upset a lot as we didn't find any Fruit in the Orchard! 3) Room is Spacious & Clean....Dinning Room has a Smart Tv With lot of Space to relax..... 4) Foods are quite delicious... 5) Service & Care of Miss Anita Ji is praiseworthy....She takes care a lot of the Guests..... Demerits/ Disadvantages: 1) Last about 1.5 km , Particularly almost last 400 metre upto the Parking area , the Road is in Horrible condition, One can have Horrible Experience of off-roading only suitable for 4 wheel drive car....As our Car stuck in the Pothole / big Crater on the Road we called the Owner , he replied callously " sab to ah jate hey ...ap kyu...." !!......He just ignored our predicament as we had to walk 300/ 400 metre steep road leaving the Car behind... Regret to Say the Owner did not say anything about the dangerous condition of the Road during booking....!! 2) Driver's accommodation & food ( all meals ) are very Expensive indeed , about 1600/ Rs per Night....How can a Driver with very small income Afford such Price in Such Remote Place ?????.......Usually when we travel in Darjeeling & Sikkim Hills Driver is provided with Free meals or Rs 200/ 250 for Food & Stay.....But here it's very Expensive indeed.......!! Our driver had to lie outside in the Car in 10/ 12 degree Cold temperature!!....& Our Driver paid only Rs 460/ for very small meal..... 3) When we reached there after hiking & leaving the Car behind , as it Stuck in a big Crater on road , We did not find anyone to Receive us as it Seemed We were in a Ghost Castle !!!!.....After some search Owner's Wife & Anita Ji arrived.... Morning shows the day... Not satisfied with dull welcome..... 4) The behaviour of the Owner's Wife is not satisfactory as she seemed very angry / irritated always as a fretful Lady with No justified cause !!..She misunderstood many a times on Payment despite Paying the Right Amount sent by Karamchand Ji & also insted began to doubt etc........Owner himself was outside in Uttarakhand for some work and told me by phone like : " ap akele guest hey to hum rehke keya fayda "!!...... It's Not an Attitude of "Atithi Devo Bhabo ".... 5) I Left my Mobile Charger ( Original one of Samsung S 22 Plus , Expensive one )) in the Room , which was my mistake , and Called the Owner's Wife about 3 times on the way , but she did not respond my calls !!!!! Conclusion : I doubt to revisit there once again taken into fact that Financial show off of Power & beauty of Nature can not make up worse welcome , Horrible road & unsatisfactory hospitality!! It has some huge Potentialities if they rectify their mistakes & make it a heaven one day..& .!!!!!!!!!

The property is just wow! Can't believe that a homestay could be that beautiful with wooden work and big rooms and halls. The sun enters the rooms directly in the morning ( if curtains are not down) making the morning warm. Views are great from here with hills and apple orchards. Reaching here takes around 30 minutes from Kharapathar. With around 1-2 km road requiring off roading. The road may be slippery in rains and snows. Food was great. Though we did face electricity problems in the morning even in fine weather!

It's a great place to stay. The location is very beautiful and close to nature. The place is very well maintained. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by our host Parikshit and his dad. The staff was extremely friendly and the home cooked food was yummy. The rooms were spacious and had a wonderful view of the mountains. There are lots of small mountain trails, which one can explore on their own. The apple orchards were awesome. Away from the hustle and bustle of the usual touristy spots. I would highly recommend this place and looking forward to come back again
