Jimmy's River Resort

Brigadier RS Jamwal sir's stories are mesmerising, he very genuinely and eagerly responds and answers all your questions. It is an honour to be in his presence, being able to listen to his life experiences is truly a great opportunity. Would recommend to anybody to everybody. Rooms are spacious ,with a big balcony and view of the ravi river. The large glazing also enhances the view, waking up with the view of the river every morning is just icing on the cake! The food is absolutely delicious. The host (Ret. Brigadier jamwal sir) graciously sets up lunches and dinners with so so much variety. From sandwiches to traditional chamba dham, you can get everything here! Every meal leaves you so full, but you still wait for the next one.

Our stay at the resort was superb.We had a wonderful experience as their service, food & hospitality was great. Brigadier J.S. Jamwal sir treated us really well. Got everything arranged, whatever we needed, without any hassle.He suggested us some beautiful places for sightseeing. Also, river view from the room was like a cherry on the cake.

A very homely experience with a great view, the host, Jamwal sir, make you feel at home, you can get elaborate spreads for meal prepared by the help, if you ask they could make authentic dham for you, breakfast is probably the best because you get to sit in front of the mini fireplace with Sir and Banu bhaiya who prepares the prepares it on the fireplace, it feels very personal and home like. Ravi river is just a meander away, you can hear it's soft whispers throughout the day, very soothing.If you're looking for a quiet place for a workation, this could be a great option.

Jimmy's resort and homestay are actually collocated, Brigadier Sir himself lives at the place to host the guests. Amazing vibe, wonderful views and great food. A must visit place to stay by the river side.

An exceptional stay! The resort boasts a stunning location, delicious food, and impeccable service. The hospitality extended by Brig. RS Jamwal was truly outstanding, making our experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a perfect getaway!

We stayed for 2 nights at Jimmy's River Resort Chamba recently. Location is v gudd on the banks of Ravi River- just at 2 min walking distance. Resort is away from city hussles. Rooms with balcony towards Ravi River & washrooms are also neat n clean,,, not very luxurious but very Gudd to stay in. Speciality of this Resort is hospitality & Food quality / quantity / taste . I wudd suggest Brigadier Sahib - if it is possible he should remove the wild grass behind his resort towards Ravi River & give the entrance gate&lawn an update / maintenance hand.

We stayed for 2 days here and the service we received was great. The food here is amazing and the location beside the Ravi river is mesmerizing. Loved the stay here.

This was probably the best home stay I've ever lived in. Clean rooms, clear sky, delicious food(mostly plucked from the kitchen garden) and an amazing host. I was little apprehensive spending new year eve at such remote location, but the preparations done by Brigadier Jamwal and his men was outstanding. It's a must visit place for everyone who's looking for peace and tranquility. I'm definitely visiting again very soon.
