Grand view Hotel & Restaurant

I was traveling to Bir on 22/03/24 by Mahadev Travel Volvo Bus. Bus halted here at 11 pm for dinner of the passengers. Food served here was delicious. Hospitality of the hotel staff was good. We satisfied after dinner. After 35 mins halt, we continued our further journey.

Very bad experience. Very tasty crispy fried cockroach in mouldy bread toast. After waiting for 2 hours, didn't receive many items ordered like tea, lassi and instead received lime juice in place of that.

If you're travelling to Himachal from Pathankot, prefer this as a pit stop for food. It's air conditioned and food is very good.

Worst experience ever, hotel was booked for 2 days but both the days the staff was sleeping near the door but not opening the door. We banged the shutter multiple times, made calls, rung the bells, still they were not bothered they customers were waiting with 2, 3 years of kids at around 2 in the mid night. Not recommended at all.

I had dinner here, the food was very delicious. The behavior of the staff is commendable. I appreciate it all.

Worst service, Way too overpriced, they just forget the orders/requests out of the blue, i requested an extra quilt and couple bottles of water ,i told him two times but he just ignored.the owner wasn't present, food was very oily and overpriced and the quantity was very less of the snacks. They had different prices for menu in rooms and restaurant. They dumped trash down the mountain after telling us to separate the trash. No tea before 8:30 am. My worst hotel experience.

The ambience is nice, the food not bad (we didn't have much). There were 2 (accidental?) issues. They charged us a different amount than quoted for some items (3 lassies for 236 instead of 189), and also added our driver's bill to ours (all over Himachal taxi drivers have a separate arrangement with hotels and are charged lower amounts, and besides even if they don't follow this, hotels are supposed to ask before they bill it to us). Both were rectified after pointing out. Just attaching photo proof, for the owner to look into and patrons to be wary of.

Basically it was very horrible experience I have ever met with . Food quality is bad ,service is inadequate. In clear words prefer some other hotels over this , if you wanna eat good food. Only interior of this hotel is outstanding ,rest all the things are not up to the mark according to its price and all.
