Kohinoor Heritage Resort - Naggar

Excellent cozy hotel, convenient location, amazing views from the window of snowy peaks with birds singing, and delicious breakfasts on the terrace. Magnificent forest right behind the hotel. The rooms are clean, there are heaters and plenty of warm blankets for cold nights. Abu is a very caring host, responsive, and helps with any questions. I left an important thing, and Abu helped me give it to me in a friend's country after I left. I recommend a place to stay for a week to explore Naggar.

Bit late for a review as I had visited in the month of October. Kohinoor is a place to relax. Nowhere I have seen the owners or the persons responsible to run the place actually sit and interact with you in such a friendly manner. It is a place where you can feel the calmness in the environment. The view from the rooms of the Himalayas is just to sit and cherish... If you want to spend time alone as a couple or with your family this would be the perfect place near Manali. Hospitality and the food is very good. Overall my stay was very comfortable and I got great moments to remember.

We stayed at Kohinoor with a group for two weeks and received a very caring service and care. The family that owns this place are very kind hearted people and we all felt like we were part of the family. They surrounded us with love and told a lot about the area and its hidden treasures. We were held by the unprecedented flood in July 2023 and they went above and beyond to warm up the water for us, give us warm meals and got a generator so we could have some light and charge our phones. The location is a short walking distance from Roerich estate and many ancient temples. There are stores and restaurants nearby. And you can always count on the owner's support . We honestly will miss them dearly.

This was my first visit to Naggar, specifically. If you are someone who seeks tranquility and a cool family owned heritage resort with much history, sustainable practices, and abundance of love, aesthetic flora and juicy organic seasonal fruits, this is the place to be. Abbu bhaiya will make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need, even without asking. The food here is fulfilling and finger licking yum. The view outside is like a vibrant painted canvas in daylight and a glimmering star studded view of the mountains after sundown. The interiors feel luxurious, yet simple and very comfortable. It is close to the best of the attractions of the town and beyond. It is one of the very few resorts with a parking space. I'm definitely coming back here everytime I visit for Naggar or even neighbouring locations.

Naggar is a beautiful town and situated here is Kohinoor Heritage Resort, surrounded by Deodar trees, it's the best place to stay. We stayed here for 3 days. Rooms here are comfortable, neat and clean & the valley view from the balcony is a visual retreat. You can get freshly prepared delicious food at their restaurant.||It's a family managed hotel that makes you feel at home and the owner's son Abhinav (Abbu) is a buddy.||Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed our memorable stay here and will surely recommend this place to everyone coming here.||Thank you so much Abbu for your great hospitality.

Why did we choose Kohinoor Heritage Resort in Naggar? There are a bunch of reasons.||||Location||Kohinoor is located at a street corner and we could see the board from afar. It is a few metres from the gorgeous Naggar Castle and a stone's throw from the ancient Tripura Sundari Temple. If we went left from Kohinoor, we reached the cool cafe cum art zone of Naggar. If we took the right, we walked through apple orchards into lush natural beauty. The place was peaceful and quiet. Yet, there was never a dull moment! ||In fact, given the strategic location, the Roerich Museum has installed a carved piece of art by the renowned Russian sculptor George Protosky at the threshold of Kohinoor Resort.||||Room||The rooms are spacious and inundated with sunlight. Solid wood furniture creates an understated yet peaceful look. Geyser, water kettle, tea corner - the room has all items needed for comfort. Television sets have been shunned by way of principle. But then, when our balcony overlooked the grand Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, who needed a TV?||||Workation||We were travelling on a weekend along with 2 weekdays. Therefore we were going back to our laptops off and on and working intermittently, late nights and early mornings. Kohinoor Resort is a great spot for a workation since they have robust WIFI internet that has been in excellent form. Moreover, their backyard overlooking the mountains is a great spot to sit and work out in the open. This was a rare treat for us city-birds who needed a breather from the concrete.||||Breakfast table with a view||Breakfast like a king they say. We were living that saying at Kohinoor where an elaborate breakfast spread was served at the idyllic backyard opening up to the gorgeous Himalayas. There were sandwiches, omelettes, boiled eggs, Himalayan jam and bread and our very own poha, paratha, daliya upma, fresh juices and fruits from their orchard. We were big fans of their fresh apple juice with a hint of mint leaves, every ingredient from their garden. Thinking of that we burp in delight!||||Food||Coming to the rest of the food, we would say what they served is a home-style affair. All the vegetables they cooked - capsicum, huge pumpkins, bitter gourd, cucumber, were grown in their kitchen garden using strictly organic methods. We walked through the kitchen garden and were surprised to see a zucchini the size of a gourd! ||||That is not all. Kohinoor resort maintains a cowshed with 3 or 4 healthy cattle. The raita that we had there was made with curd that was set from their in-house cow milk. The curd was light and mildly sour. It could not get healthier or tastier than this!||||We were having an array of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that were laid in their dining hall. One evening we had freshly procured trout for dinner. Trout farming is common in Himachal Pradesh. The chef had simply infused magic in the grilled trout dish that was served with French fries. If that did not get you drooling, you must try Siddu here. Siddu is Himachali stuffed steam bread that is served with a spicy walnut chutney. Our taste buds were doing a merry dance while having this.

We have a memorable stay here in March 2020. It is first time in NAGGAR, a beautiful place in Kullu Valley. It has a wonderful Himalaya view from balcony, rooms are neat, clean & specious.||Catering & service are managed by family members of the owners themselves & hence give the place a "HOME stay like" personal feel like own family members touch. ||Our heartfelt thanks to Abhinav & his family members (his parents, Grandma & beautiful wife) for a wonderful family home like treat with excellent service. ||Thank you so much for taking good care of us all. ||We never forgot home made butter, fresh cow milk for breakfast & home made dinner.||We would like to come here again & again for a homely atmosphere & recommend to our friends, relatives. ||Wonderful hotel, helpful owners, awesome food what else you need?||||Bhupendra Adalja & his friends Kanubhai Shah, Mansukhbhai Shah & Ravindrabhai Sanghavi.

Trip to Naggar was my first ever solo trip, and I am really glad that I selected Kohinoor heritage resort to stay here. They made me feel like a part of their family. I got to eat home made food, explore Naggar and meet locals.
