OYO 24639 Hotel Shingar Palace

The property is right on the highway to Manali beside the Beas river. I had booked the hotel online and got a deal of A.C. room plus dinner package at less than 3K for three people, which was quite nice. The rooms in the hotel are quite spacious but do expect a bit of noise from all the cars plying on the highway. One thing I found annoying was that the smoke and exhaust from the kitchen of the restaurant came in through the rear windows of the room. So we had to keep the windows closed. But all in all, it was a nice and comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The restaurant had a nice and cozy ambiance, with fast service and decent food. The wifi speed was also good and had good connectivity in the first and second floor. The hotel was under construction and was expanding to include more floors and rooms along the riverside. So people opting for the new river facing rooms will enjoy a nice view. While returning, we had to leave the hotel by 7 A.M. and still the manager arranged and packed hot breakfast for us. People in the Himachal are always nice !

Booked two superdelux AC rooms with breakfast. Attendant was not trained. Phone line was not working, even after complaint About it. Water, dusting etc was not served even after 4 hrs of chek in room . AC was noisy. TV was not working.Poor higeinic condition. At checkout In the morning at 7, staff was not available to carry baggage. security person told that Breakfast will be available after 7:30.We waited for about 1 hr for breakfast. Rating poor.

Where to start!!!??? This is a hotel with two or three stars! And that's a lot! The staff is horrible, unkind and unpolite. Especially Hotel owner ( fat man from haryana ) Restaurant terrible! Table cloth speckled and torn, dirty silverware, serving drinks in plastic cups. Food awful, too! Every day chicken in different ways! Room service awful, too! I am very disappointed and this was my worst holiday. I highly recommend that you do not go to this hotel

Poor service. Untrained staff. I booked the room for one day in May-2018. I was travelling in my own vehicle. Untidy room,dirty toilets, pathetic condition of bedsheets and broken electric fittings. As I had arrived late night and I had to leave early morning I ignored these things. I was given a room at 3rd floor. In the morning at 5:00AM when I called the reception to send some one to pick the luggage I got the biggest shocker"Sir abhi to koi ladka nahi aaya hai." Also there was not lift in the hotel.Called again and spoke rudely only them a staff came after 15 minutes. He was the same person who picked up the phone at the reception. Never head a reception replying to guest in that manner

I found this hotel more or less in the same value as I found Hotel Shikhar for Almora. Best part of the hotel is that it is right on the national highway to Kullu-Manali, on the Beas river. I was on a solo biking trip to Leh and this was supposed to be my first halt after leaving from Delhi. Got an online deal and hence I landed to the hotel. Reached in the evening and was supposed to leave early in the morning. Not a bad choice but not very pleasing either. I needed a good night's rest to comfort my back and make it ready for the tougher days ahead, but I couldn't find that. Reason was the room I got. It was on the lower floor and room had no proper ventilation. Besides, in hill hotels like this more down you move, more closer you go to septic tanks, drains and hotel garbage pits. They make a foul smell on the whole floor. To make the things worse, it rained in the night and all drains of the hotel falling on the lowest floor were making as much noise as I was sleeping adjacent to a waterfall. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is adjacent to the reception. Food though not great but was manageable, not justifying the prices. Staff was very limited to be seen and service was bare minimum. SO, for those who want just a night halt on way to Lahaul-Spiti, not a bad choice considering the tariffs. But be very careful while choosing the rooms. Opt for higher floors to get some fresh air and possibly some view of the riverside if you are here in a daylight. Smart planning can help in using this hotel as a nice transit point.

Nice hotel . Good for families. Separate Parking not available. Cheap and budget hotel to stay. Have rooms underground that could keep urself warm. Rooms are decent. Request you to visit the rooms prior to allocation. Requesting the hotel owner to kindly clean the steps that goes to underground rooms

The hotel is very basic. One can stay there if they have a small budget. I booked the hotel because I had to just sleep. The room was below the ground floor and was quite cold. Food was decent. The bus stand is at a walk able distance. Would need a vehicle is you have luggage.

Hotel is good but there is. 2 block in hotel 1st block is old and 2 nd is newer but I specialy recommend all of you don't use the OYO app for booking hotel , you can go direct in hotel and , can ask for rooms availability and you can find there contact number or call them but don't use OYO app for booking this will make you fool after booking , I have my personal experience because last night there was havy rain in last day then i booked room in hotel. Shingar Palace but when I reached in hotel reception , they told me there is no rooms left or They said they don't receive any booking from oyo so I was shocked because it was the time around 8 pm and heavy rain was actually problem , then I call oyo exicutive but they didn't satisfied proply , this was my last day experience but it was very bad , but hotel staff is good couprative ,
