HOTEL MONAL

Everything about this hotel was a bad experience. I only took room for few hours to rest till my bus timing. And I paid good amount but still they treated me like a free loader. I ordered a dal makhni and normal paratha but they gave aloo and charged extra. When i told them they refused to accept their mistake. Unnecessary expensive as well. Highly not recommend.

Interesting property in old Mandi town, on the way of highway, but also felt cultural to the place cz of the location and river. Food not good though. Staff service good.

If it was possible I would give 0 stars to this hotel. Everything was terribly filthy. No one to hear your requests. The staff is very in operative. Food may be good but the service is very slow. Found dead insects in my room.The whole room was filthy. I was disgusted by this hotel . Not fit to stay,as bachelors got drunk ..... shouted the whole night...and played loud music early morning. The other choices are much better.

I have never been to such filthy hotel ever. The owner constantly asking to pay 50% advance for same day booking since morning. And let me show you what they delivered - torn and dirty bed sheet and pillow cover; no mirror in the washroom too; floor is extremely dirty; found a cockroach; no bell boy service so you have to carry your own luggage. My father and uncle were senior citizens but got no help. Half of time you won't find anyone in the reception. Owner is not responsible and never respond to your complaints.

The only look up point is inside Parking for car. Everything is sluggish and not upto the mark. Not good for family. Humid and seepage in rooms. As per charges not worthy.

Good location and nice room

Pros: Room was neat and clean Location is awesome..Great view Very close to Mandi town. Bathroom was neat and tidy. We checked-in at 5am..and the staff there was friendly and woke up to help us get settled, provided drinking water and soap. We were thinking of taking an AC room..But didn't feel the need, as sitting under the fan was pleasant enough (considering it is peak summer time in May). Cons: We were on a Manali bound bus, and the route of the bus and this hotel is different. You might have to walk around 1km from a bridge(where the bus diverts to Manali road) to reach the hotel. So keep your maps on and get down at the right spot!

Hotel is situated in a fantastic location by the river approx 1.5km from the main market. Guess that is about it. Upon arrival, we were showed an nice, big room with tv and river view available for INR 700. After we alighted from the auto rickshaw, the staff who showed us the room informed that the room is taken! As we were extremely tired to find another hotel as it was already late at night, we just take another room at the back for INR 600. Manager immediately asked for our passports to lodge in their entry book. After 3 hours, we asked for our passports back and he gradually opened his drawer (which he kept our passports) only to start writing! He returned them after we were back from dinner.TV is available but not working at all. We have to ask three times going back and forth for more than an hour for towels. We decided to check out the very next day and the manager started to ask for our passports again to make photocopies! We ignored and left immediately. Management lacked of one thing - basic common sense.
