Tra - A Boutique Stay

I recently stayed at a lovely homestay in Manali, and the experience was truly memorable. The location was perfect--nestled amidst the mountains with a stunning view of snow-capped peaks and surrounded by apple orchards. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

I got a chance to stay here as a part of a yoga retreat and loved every bit of it. It is surrounded by mountains and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. Host Kanupriya and the staff of Tra are super friendly and they make you feel at home. The food provided there is fantastic and you won't miss your home food at all. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to Manali because you will have one of the best times of your life. Also, there are many nature trails which are walkable from this place including a waterfall. The nature is pristine and you can spot so many bird species just from the balcony if you are a bird watcher like me.

Had such a great time at Tra in Karjan! Conveniently located about a 25 min drive from Manali on the Kullu Naggar Manali road. We had a cosy room with a balcony that overlooked apple orchards and snow capped mountains beside them. Couldn't ask for more. Kanupriya and Dhanlaxmi were super helpful from the time we booked the room. Super responsive and helped us alot with the itinerary. Food was great too and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommend this place

We had an amazing time at Tra. It is super pet friendly. The owner herself made food for my pet on special request for his birthday. There is a beautiful trail surrounding apple orchards right behind the property where you can walk your dog without worrying about traffic. The food at Tra is super delicious and the staff is also friendly. Definately consider this homestay away from your home in the midst of mountains and valleys at Naggar, Manali.

Ok, so this one will be a long one as I want to put out both side stories . I saw the property listed on Airbnb and found out the number via their instagram and spoke to the owner kanupriya, after discussions , booked the property via her directly by paying a 50% advance in December itself. Now , my fault completely that I did not read her house rules carefully regarding the pet , else I wouldn't have booked this property. Moving on, we come to the time when my trip was planned , before reaching there as a goodwill friendly gesture I asked her if she wants something, she had asked for a bottle of rum which she paid for when we reached . We tried to be cordial with her hence asked as we were going from Delhi. The day we reached there , there was no one to carry our luggage to the 2nd floor attic suite which we booked, we knew room service was not there but not even someone to get the basic needs and carry luggage was not something we expected. The first day, we told her that our pet will stay there and will not damage anything. She agreed. On the third day , just because in her so called pet friendly property my small dog barked for a few minutes she asked me to take him out with me everytime I go out. I asked her to check the room on the third day itself to see if there is any damage , she did not , I knew there was no damage because my dog is very sober . The major issue was that my dog is 7 year old and it was raining and snowing outside, so even with his bomber jacket on , he was shivering and started vomiting after coming back from outside as we had some day trips planned . There was no covered space for a walk, which is fine and hence since he wasn't well, he peed in one - 2 places , which I also wiped. I asked her for room cleaning , she did not send anybody the 2nd day. I also offered her early checkout for us if she could refund atleast some amount, she refunded 2100 from an amount of 29000 for the whole stay and we were at a loss of 9k , which is fine as we did not want her to bear the loss and at the same time did not want to spoil our remaining trip because of her terms and conditions. We checked out three days early and booked a lovely property who were actually pet friendly and respected us, understood that dogs will bark at times and pee in excitement that was La risa for us. After we checked out kanupriya messages me this - HERE ARE MY ANSWERS TO EVERYTHING AS I PREFERRED TO BLOCK HER THAT TIME AS I DID NOT WANT TO SPOIL REMAINING 3 DAYS OF MY TRIP. "Hi, we were doing room keeping, and as you said no object was damaged but the room was smelling of pee . Twitter had peed on all doors and wooden areas and that's a damage of of our property as well"- I ASKED HER TO CHECK THE ROOM, SHE DID NOT , PEEING ONE OR TWO PLACES WHICH I WIPED IS NOT A DAMAGE. "You guys did not tell us that you are checking out either so we could review this with you as this is your responsibility." - WE TOLD HER A DAY BEFORE AND ALSO ON THE DAY OF CHECKOUT THAT WE WILL BE CHECKING OUT ERLY, KEPT OUR LUGGAGE INFRONT OF HER, BUT SHE WAS SO HOSTILE AND RUDE. "Only request that you don't leave rooms like this at other properties. It's quite disgusting and ideally you should be paying for this."- WORD DISGUSTING SUITS YOUR BEHAVIOUR WHICH YOU DID. YOU ALREADY KEPT A LOT OF AMOUNT AND THAT IS ENOUGH TO BOOK YOU A DEEP CLEANING IF YOU WANT. "But we would like to close your chapter here"- NOW THE CHAPTER IS CLOSED! I never said my pet is jeopardizing my trip, instead you were . If my pet was a burden I would have left him behind with my family. I wouldnt have paid 34 k more for a better pet friendly stay if he was a burden. We wanted to keep him warm in that chilly weather .We checked with other family and they confirmed they have no issues with the pet , kanupriya said we can leave our pet if there are no bookings and then she moved back from her word. While I don't care of how she manipulates her words and mine, as she has done that with all her bad reviews

A beautiful stay with beautiful people around. The stay was clean, well maintained, and peaceful. The food was on point, each bite as delectable. Special thanks to Kanupriya for being a great host.

Must book this place if you are travelling to Manali.. It's a beautiful well maintained home stay with good amenities. Provide decent breakfast to start your day. Good for solo travellers, family and groups. Rooms are spacious & offer amazing view.

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful home stay! Really nice hosts who made sure they are always available for any small little assistance you require. I would surely love to visit this place again.
