The listing is inaccurate and misleading. We had booked a 5bhk Villa from saffron stays in kasauli. When we reached the place we found that it was not an independent property but part of a hotel - Winnies Resort. Upon arrival we found that the 5 bedrooms were split on 2 floors i.e. 3bhk + 2bhk apartments. That too were not interconnected, so you have to come out and climb down / up a series of stairs. Even the falsely advertised 7bhk villa is split into 3 apartments on different levels- 2bhk + 3 bhk + 2bhk. Also there is a pool which is supposedly common for all 5 apartments. if you are not in a group, it would become very uncomfortable. The place is not all child or elderly friendly, for someone who stays in the mountains it may seem to be fine but climbing 8-10 sets of very steep stairs every time is a killer. We had 3 seniors traveling with us who just couldn't gather the strength to climb almost half a hill up to the so called villa. We reached around 2-3ish and the rooms weren't ready, they started cleaning well past 20mins of our arrival. After discussions with the saffron stays manager, we were given a choice to take the apartments on the lower floor i.e. 7 bhk building but on the condition that we would have to vacate the 3 bhk apartment on the last night as it was booked for someone else. On the day we were supposed to shift, the reception guys started calling at 10 am for the luggage. Then at around 11 they came to get the luggage, practically forcing us to vacate. I fail to understand why didn't they show this kind of professionalism when we checked in. Again the day we were supposed to check out, the staff came and said to vacate the room much before the check out time as the other guests were coming. For a hotel that can not give the room well past the check in time, they should not expect the guest to vacate it before check out time. These frequent mismanaged issues were totally undesirable and left a bad experience especially while checking out. While booking we confirmed if bon fire would be provided, they said yes but on the day we asked for it. We were denied as there was a sale group staying in the hotel for which there was a music event was taking place. We were asked to join the event along with the group of men if we wanted bon fire. So basically, we were deprived of good quality family time. Otherwise the apartments have been made well with good finishes, the food quality is pretty average ( you can't make anything in the apartments), breakfast spread was decent but the quality wasn't there. Over F&B service staff was good along with the security / valet. In conclusion, if you want to stay in a hotel one could choose this. However, if 1 apartment is sufficient for your needs then this is a decent option but for bigger family groups it may not be ideal.
