Basil Woods

I wish I Could rate this stay in minus. I had the worst experience staying at the basil woods kasuali. Would never recommend anyone to book this place. Especially if you are travelling with girls. The care taker (Vishal)is really rude and doesn't respect the guest. The owner (Abhishek) doesn't reply when approached on air bnb. Everything started when we asked the care taker to keep the luggage in the room to which he replied "khud rakho" knowing that we were all girls and the stairs were really steep.On requesting he came upstairs in our room and started screaming at us that he is the owner and still trying to arrange everything for us and if we were not okay with it we can leave immediately. And went down and started shouting ki "nikal jao aap abhi ke abhi aur bht log mill jayenge mujhe". As we were all girls we were not sure if we would get any room around the place as it is few kms away from the main city. When we asked for the basic toiletries he said it is kept inside but the kit was dirty and used. The room didn't have basic mugs, tea bags coffee,sugar,milk sachets. For people planning to stay here should also go through the other comments which states that the room does have CCTV. We made a huge mistake by reading these comments late evening during our home stay which made our night even more stressful and dark.

Very rude caretaker and did not provide any service to us. Basic amenities were not available, heater was also chargeable. He behaved as if we were staying in his property for free. Really bad experience not recommend for stay

This is a very good property, the view is amazing, the host's behavior is very nice. They guide very well, definitely contact them for good hospitality in Kasauli

I recently had the pleasure of staying here and it was an exceptional experience. From the warm and courteous staff to the well-maintained rooms and everything exceeded my expectations. I was truly impressed with the cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Nice vibe. The room is amazing. It provides a very nice view of the city from balcony. Food is also delicious, its just that the food is a little expensive. So try carrying something on your own. But yeah, recommended

I disliked the location of this place; it's not in Kasauli and lacks the peaceful mountain vibes due to its roadside setting. Moreover, the property doesn't justify its cost, with a dumpster behind it and constant ant infestations in our food and luggage. The food the provided was not only expensive but also of poor quality. Overall, my trip was disappointing. And yeah, Caretaker was drunk and they do have camera installed somewhere in the rooms.

It looks like they are having camera in their room, as the caretaker was knowing each and every thing about which we were talking in the room. However the room was clean and the view was also nice but our overall experience was bad.

Visited at Basil Woods Kasauli with my friends, & we had an amazing time here! The view from the property is sooo damn pretty, watched the prettiest sunset ever Hospitality & Cleanliness was on point! Would love to visit soon with my family as well
