Zostel Plus Kareri

What beautiful location this zostel is situated at. Surrounded by lush green mountains in a peaceful place, water streams flowing around. Although 1km is rough patch but its worth staying. clean and beautiful rooms, provided with clean bedsheets n towels. I didn't use room services as zostel chain believes mostly in self service. Ambience really good, play area really good. Best place to chill in summers.

Bhaiyon or behno yaha ane se pehle service expect mat krna or receptionist behaviour not so good. I spent 5500 on a cottage, which was not worth it. I travelled from Chandigarh to spend a week there, but I stayed for only one day max because of the staff. I humbly request that the owner spend some time on their property because I am also a hotelier, and I know how these things actually work .

A special mention to Amit Sharma, whose exceptional hospitality and attentive service truly stood out. He made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. One thing to keep in mind is that the property is off-road, and the last 1 km stretch doesn't have a proper road. I recommend contacting the property in advance to arrange for a car or taxi to pick you up for this final stretch. Additionally, the remote location means there aren't any nearby amenities, so it's best suited for those looking to unwind and enjoy a tranquil stay. Overall, Zostel Kareri is a gem for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat!

Just after we entered the property, we were greeted at reception by a staff member with a dull expression, as if he didn't want us there. He rudely told us the rules. When we entered the room, it was good--properly cleaned. In the evening, we went to their restaurant. The wait time for even a cup of coffee was 20 minutes, despite only 2-3 other guests being there. Since there were no restaurants or food outlets nearby, we expected the food to be good, but it was disappointing. We noticed two baseball bats at the bar, and upon casually asking, the restaurant staff told us that sometimes guests get out of control after drinking alcohol, so they have to use them. We were shocked. Poha was priced at 180 rupees.Also, wifi was very poor.

I have been to Zostel Plus Kareri twice in 2024 and my experience for each time has been marvellous!! You talk about view, locality, hygiene, rooms, washrooms, service, food..everything thing and every item is top notch. I would definitely recommend to stay at Zostel Plus Kareri even if you are planning to visit Mcleodganj or Dharamshaala, this property is 22 kms away from both the places. Also, I forgot to mention one more thing, if you want to book a taxi you can definitely ask the manager here, he is a gem of a person arranges best of the best cab facility for you at the market rate. I honestly love this property!!

Great place to stay and spend time , nice swimming pool , open area and good food . Only negative - Poor wifi connection, if you are looking workcation , i will not suggest this.

Its the best hotel in kareri. The food was good and had a lot of variety. The washrooms were very good too.

One of the most picturesque Zostels, the Kareri property is expansive and beautifully designed. Our room was excellent, offering a terrific view, and the common room is spacious with plenty of places to relax. The cafe's outdoor seating is also fantastic. Unfortunately, we visited during the off-season on a weekday, so we missed out on the usual lively Zostel atmosphere and had the massive property all to ourselves. The staff was cordial, and the front desk manager was helpful and welcoming. I wish we could have experienced it at a busier time, but it was still a good stay. P.S. The road leading to the property, especially the last 30-minute stretch, is in terrible condition and very risky if you're driving. It's only recommended for experienced drivers with a high-clearance vehicle.
