HPTDC Shiwalik Hotel

Quite beautiful and clean. The hotel was a bit shabby, maybe because of the fact that it gets very less visitors but the people at reception or management are really nice and cooperative. there is ample parking space and the view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful. Would recommend!

HPTDC was once best in the industry. The hotel is old, the govt isn't getting the renovation done. We took the suite for one night, quite spacious must say but again they need to upgrade. Service is very good, location is good. Mr Jagdish the night duty manager was quite helpful even the restaurant staff was quite prompt. In all not bad for one night stay night even consider again if ever visit Parwanoo/kalka again.

We had taken up the best rooms available which makes me wonder what condition would the other rooms would have been. Despite the great service by staff and their genuine efforts to provide us with as much convenience as possible, the hotel lacks basis maintenance. The upkeep is just not there. Apathy of authorities is clearly the issue as property as good potential with a Wantage point and huge terrace (currently being used as a dump). Food is good, certainly above par. The service is warm and genuine. Gave 3 stars instead of 2 just for that.

A decent place with above average rooms. The staff is courteous and decent. It would be amazing if they could work on their food. Their paneer tikka was the most horrible ever but daal, rice was fairly good. Maybe in a few months they should look for upgrading their interiors.

HPTDC needs to renovate it's properties. There was a time I used to prefer HPTDC whenever I was in HP. All rooms need major makeover. Although food is good and service too

We stayed for one night. We reached late in the evening and got our rooms on second floor. The rooms are small, however, the restroom was bigger than standard. We ordered food and the quality was fantastic. All the stuffs are very cooperative and helpful. I recommend the hotel.

Nice location. Best time to visit in the early monsoon. You will see natural beauty around. The place is a bit old and the facility of amenities not available. But the staff is nice and helpful.
