Himalayan Musaafir Guest House & Restaurant

I had one of the best stays in my life, when I stayed for two nights in this hotel. Everything here was outstanding. Right from the hospitality to the ambience to the rooms, I loved every bit of it. It's not just a hotel, but an emotion of love, because I saw that the staff and the owner take care of three beautiful dogs, who roam throughout the building and provide a sense of companionship to the visitors. The boy at the reception was incredibly helpful. He suggested we hire a scooty and explore the nearby places and we took his advice, which proved to be really adventurous. It's situated at a walking distance from the Dharamshala Bus Terminus. I also loved their rooftop cafe, providing a scintillating environment & view at evening/night. They also have books and sofas for spending some quality time. The rooms are well-maintained too. Highly recommended!

*5/5 Stars* "I recently stayed at the Himalayan Retreat Hotel in Dharamshala and I must say, Google Maps led me to this hidden gem effortlessly! The directions were spot on, and I reached the hotel without any hassle. The hotel itself is nestled in a serene location, surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. Owner is very helpful and do join the camping site of the same institute.

Himalaya Hotel The staff of Himalaya Musafir Hotel is very bad and the hotel here is also not good at all. There is no cleanliness in this hotel and the service boys are rude. They do not listen at all. They give reserved food by throwing leftover food in the garbage. Water is not available in their hotel. These are absolutely useless people.

The best thing about this hotel is its cafe. It's on fourth floor and has great view of the mountains on side and the Ropeway on the other side. Food also was delicious, staff were super friendly and courteous. You also get two canines to accompany you, they don't let you feel alone! This hotel is located near Dharamshala inter state bus terminal, just 5 minutes walk. The point where AC buses leave is just 50 metres away. Super convenient if you're travelling off hours. Rooms are not that great, but have all required things. TV doesn't work in the economy room we stayed though it worked in the deluxe room. Water stopped all of a sudden and wasn't back for hours.

This hotel was an utter disappointment from the moment we stepped in. The room was incredibly dirty, with stained sheets, dust everywhere, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks

Disgusting place! My wife and I decided to stay there for a day, as we arrived at night and the hotel near the bus stop. We agreed on a discount for one day, but for some reason the day ended in 4 hours!! But besides this, the room that we were offered was incredibly dirty, they just didn't clean it after the previous tenant. Urine in the toilet, someone's hair everywhere, the bed linen is dirty. Everything is in dust and dirt. I didn't want to lie under the blanket at all. You'll pay 2,400 rupees for such a mess!! We really regretted choosing this hotel
