The best stay in Dharamsala. I have stayed here for more than 12 years repeatedly. Love the place, service and food. Megh Singh provides the best support and is very organized, honest and makes you feel like a home. Megh is just like a family member. You feel like you are staying at a Royal place. It is so much like in the lap of Mother Nature with the best five star facilities. Most safe for family and kids. Thank you Megh singh and Clouds End Villa. Regards, Rajinder Singh Walia

If ever there was a potential gem in need of some tlc, this is it! The location is great and it's an ideal base for exploring Dharamsala. But..... the rooms our party used ( ours was 14) were tired and nothing like those pictured on the website. Outside areas were unkempt and it seemed understaffed. Everything functioned, so in a sense it was fine, but with a little effort and relatively little expenditure it could have been delightful.

The Cloud's End Villa is a gorgeous property which delivers on everything it promises to. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room with a breathtaking view - of the mountains ahead of us and the gardens below. When it rains, you can watch the clouds waft by. The garden and terraces are great places to spot birds and insects and are safe enough to let young children run around. The cooks are exceptional and very accommodating of various palettes and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. We stayed here as part of a working break and the internet and general network connectivity was excellent so we managed to work uninterrupted. What makes this property special is that you can walk to cafes, the forest, do small treks and yet manage to stay away from the noise and chatter of the town. (We found it a bit challenging to locate as the map is not very accurate, so do call them for directions)

The Clouds End Villa room I had was a suite overlooking a lush area of the property. It was well maintained and quite beautiful. The staff was exceptionally warm and responsive. I have serious food sensitivities. Not only did the staff take great care to understand and accommodate my needs (and the food was amazing), but Chandresh Kumari Katoch, the owner, personally met with me and called me to ensure I was doing well. I have never experienced this level of personal care and customer service from a hotelier. I have only great things to say about Clouds End. Thank you to Chandresh and her incredible team!

Spent a couple of nights here on a tour of Northern India with Mercury holidays, I know fellow travellers were not impressed with this hotel. However our room was decent, clean and pretty inviting. Quirky....yes, pristine.......no, but it was comfortable. I doubt if there is anything better in the area that is more suitable. The plus side was that the gin in the G &T's were very generous. Food was eaten at a communal table, quality was good if a little bland and unimaginative. Service was okay at best, got the impression that the waiters were not happy with their lot. Would I want to go again............no, had the experience thank you.

The stay we had was very comfortable and welcome. In bussy India it is an oasis of quietness. The staff takes really good care of you and the food is excellent. We stayed in a separate house on the premises. We liked it, it was clean and comfortable. The beds are a little hard. But romantically wise a nice place, and it takes 10 minutes by taxicab to reach the quarters of his holiness the Dalai Lama. If you are lucky, you can meet the Maharaja of Kangra, who will be your kind host.||

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour and as it is still winter unsurprisingly it was cold. The views down to the valley are beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable with heaters and warm duvets and blankets. It's not a place to stay if you have mobility problems as there are steep steps and uneven paths around the property. The food was very good with some British Raj staples of Cauliflower Cheese, rice pudding and porridge for breakfast. Complimented with delicious curries and dals made with fresh local ingredients. |There are monkeys around the place too.

if you are looking to party hard with loud music, then this place is not recommended. Its place to cozy up with a book..Chat with friends and family and enjoy peace. If you want to leave behind the hustle bustle of the city life and find a peaceful zone, then Clouds End Villa is the place to go to. It is the last home/property in dharamshala. Rooms have that Victorian era and Royal charm considering that it is owned by the Royal family of Kangra. The staff is very helpful. Awesome place, awesome staff, awesome and reasonably charged food....I enjoyed my stay, It's beautiful place
