Regenta Resort Exotica Dharamshala on Hilltop

I had a very bad experience with this regenta resort. In April 2025 I booked a family suite in this resort directly from their website after paying around 20000 advance. Room rent was 40000 for two nights. But on reaching this remote site, the hotel guys simply said that my booking is not available due to their internal issues. This was after waiting for almost an hour. They simply thrown us into the street, asking us to find some other accommodation. It was shocking to see this unprofessional response even after receiving confirmation mail and a reminder mail from the hotel's official email. Lucky for us, we reached early there and so we were able to find another accommodation. My mails to this hotel authorities did not yield any response. After two weeks or so they refunded the advance. However, I never recommend or book royal orchid anymore. Totally unprofessional and irresponsible management. Imagine what it would have been, had you reach there in the late night? By the way don't go by the pictures. This resort is at a very inconvenient spot, with no lifts. Never recommend for elderly, children and differently abled.

I stayed in this property recently with my family..its realty a great experience. Trained team with ready to help attitude. Paragliding is just behind the resort. Good food with good wine.house keeping staff is very nice specially salary,sarita.will definitely come back..

What a place... It is a heaven with lush green forest. Amazing team with smiling faces. Good food specially morning breakfast. Non veg was really tasty. We are really enjoyed. Pool was great with attached bar. Paragliding is just 5 mint by car. Must visit... Thanks

I had an incredible experience during my business trip. The staff made sure everything was done promptly and efficiently, ensuring a smooth and successful trip. A special thanks to Mr. Vijay for his exceptional support--he not only helped me arrange a travel cab but also provided valuable local guidance. His assistance was greatly appreciated. Additionally, the food quality and taste were excellent, and the hospitality was top-notch. Every aspect of the trip was carefully managed, making it a memorable and successful experience.

We had a nice stay for 4 days in this resort. It has excellent location...away from city crowd. Rooms are spacious, neat & clean. Tasty food. Polite & courteous staff.

Location of hotel is secluded. No sign boards were installed from management for the fork of road which leads to the property. The contact number provided on the Google is of ex employee. He gave another number to contact but no one picked the call. The road to propertyis too narrow and broken, also it is under repair. It is absolutely not advised for the elderly person and parents with toddlers.

I think many reviews here are either paid or influenced. My experience was far worse than expected. The staff was downright disrespectful. For instance, when we asked why our paratha was taking so long during breakfast, a staff member dismissively replied, "ghar pe bhi lagta haina time," and we ended up waiting 15 minutes. Additionally, room cleaning only starts from 10 AM, so if you want to be present during cleaning, you're forced to wait until then, which is highly inconvenient. Overall, this was the worst experience, and I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.
