Whispering Pines Home Stay

If you really want a break from the hustle bustle life of Delhi this place is for you. The only thing here is the view of the valley, weather and peace. During my stay of 3 days I heard very few sounds besides nature. It is a home stay with amazing food, although pricing is a bit on the higher side but the food is freshly cooked by the caretaker of this property Mr Pawan Kumar. He is very very cooperative and he really took a great care of us. And the owner Mr ratish is very decent and helpful person. Overall it was an amazing experience living here. We were given super deluxe room with attach balcony. Rooms are really very good and spacious. We were 5 adults and two grown up kids who were easily accommodated in two rooms. Love the stay here and recommend people to come and enjoy the peace and serenity of the area. There is a beautiful treck starting from the property. Amazing weather and clean air.

The place is on a slope and is quite well located. Rooms are clean and the support staff are helpful but that's where it all ends. We were promised a Service Apartment and we got one with a kitchen included. The Kitchen had no cooking gas/microwave/induction cooker and thus was meaningless. There was a 20 litre water dispenser but no water bottle. The place had no Tandoor and thus only snacks like pakodas and fries were available. They don't even have a reception counter. They do not have credit card machines etc and you can only pay cash. To make it even better, the owner asked us to leave if we wanted when we asked for basic amenities that are included in Service Apartments across the world. The deal included breakfast and this was the crowning glory: Each person is allowed 2 paranthas or an omelette for breakfast. If you order an omelette beyond paranthas, you would have to pay for it. The support staff were nice and tried to make our life easier but with this kind of management, they couldn't do much. Best avoided if you want some basic facilities that too at a price point of 4500 per room.

This place is not actually a hotel, they have 4 rooms for rent and are located at 1.5kms from Dharampur. ||The rooms are clean, location is awesome, food is good. ||Complimentary breakfast would be either 2 paranthas and tea/coffee or eggs and tea/coffee. ||The taste of food is good but the only concern is time as it is not hotel but a homestay, they food would take around an hour to prepare and d best part is it is cooked fresh everytime you order and they prepare only when order ia placed. ||So I would strongly recommend this place.

We spent 2 nights here, The staff deserve particular praise - they are welcoming, warm and helpful from the moment you walk in. The room was clean, good-sized and had a great view. The breakfast was delicious with the concierge upgrade, we were able to have a full breakfast made to order. Our room was extremely neat and clean, the carpet looked new and the room smelled fresh. We had a nice view of Mountains.

I enjoyed my stay here in Jan 2017. Overall a nice place to stay. Pleasant weather, decent and neat place, has kitchen but was under maintenance at that time, good staff and affordable price. Its a furnished flat hence had all amenities. Enjoyed my stay with friends. It's close to Shimla so visited Shimla in the morning and came back by night. Life time experience of snow fall , my first snow fall :-)|Overall a decent and affordable place to stay.

We stayed at Whispering Pines for 2 nights and I would like to highlight the below points -||1. This place is 45 minutes away from Kasauli. Exact location is Dharampur.||2. From the main Dharampur highway the 3 kms route to the home stay, the road is not ready and it's not advisable to travel late night as there's no light and it's a one way road only.||3. Prior our booking we were in touch with the owner who was very prompt in answering all our queries and told us to pay the 100% advance within thirty minutes in order to reserve the room. Their rates are reasonably high for the room and quality of hygiene.||4. When we reached the place, the room was allotted and the owner was no where to be seen, when asked about the same we were told by the staff that he's not available and will meet us which didn't happened throughout our stay.||5. The room was unhygienic, sheets were not cleaned properly, washroom was smelling, room had spider and ants all over including the bed.||6. Location and viwe from their terrace is very nice, however thorough cleaning is required.||6. Food served is home style and is made to order. They have limited menu which includes breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner.

The place is awesome, if u need peace of mind. Beautiful view with lovely terrace. Rooms are nice & cosy, room service is superb. Food truly home like & best part is the warm nature of the owner. His personal touch makes all the difference.

We zeroed in on this homestay because all other places were booked and we had limited options.|Pros: We drove down from Delhi so this place wasn't very difficult to find. The view and the drive was worth a mention. The rooms are clean and so is the bathroom. The food needs to be ordered well in advance. Evening and early morning walks were enjoyable since it is away from the hustle and bustle of Kasauli.||Cons: We specifically booked this place, despite the high price, because we wanted a room with a balcony. We did not get that. The rooms are apparently occupied by permanent residents. The next day a room with a balcony was given to another couple. That I felt was unfair. The staff was detached and not eager to help.|You need to carry your own water bottles because they charge you for it. |You can definitely find better options for 4k in Kasauli.
